Muse coffee co — Restaurant in Southampton

A frustrating experience. I was looking to grab a pastry to go with my morning coffee, but I was unsure about something that looked a bit like a cinnamon roll but was only labelled with a "50% off" sign. I asked the member of staff what it was, but he replied "you want it?".

Cue a back-and-forth conversation along the same lines, including the gentleman informing me that it was in a deal offer, but still not telling me what the mystery pastry actually was. In the end I finally got an answer of "I don't know" but at this point I was just frustrated and walked across the road for my morning coffee at a different shop.

I'm unsure whether it was a language barrier issue or a training issue, but either way it was definitely not a...

Soo I do like to give fair and honest reviews, and also supporting my locals cafes etc is always a bonus...but unfortunately I've been to this cafe four times now and yet it's standards haven't pleased me. Today we ordered 3 cake slices, tea, can of Coke and a milkshake. *the red velvet cake came with a long black peice of hair on it (which we immediately stated) *chocolate cake slice was stale to the touch and even the staff member was embarrassed when we stated it. The replacements took more than it needed to replace as the original staff member went off to make a coffee. In all fairness and I don't say this flippantly...it wasn't worth the £18! The cakes were from costco 🤷🏽‍♀️ Hopefully with time and effort they'll make...

I was very disappointed with my experience. It looks great from the outside and even better inside, HOWEVER, the staff were so rude and as a customer, was made to feel very unwelcome. I had gone in with a friend and we ordered what we wanted, only for it to be brought to us with no cutlery, something we didn’t order that was meant for a different customer and one of our orders was missing something. When we told the member of staff who was a young girl, she sighed and walked away as if it wasn’t her job, CLEARLY made it obvious she was talking about me to her co worker and took her time gossiping before she came back with a lot of attitude. felt so uncomfortable and...
