Iv never left bad feedback. But, As a strong single white 50 year old, I’m gonna! I loved going here. Always in during day mainly.Food great, music fabulous. Staff are great. I’m always in minding my own business. And enjoyed being able to go out on my own. As I’m independent woman 50 year old. Have and always will treat all people with respect, kindness. As someone who will always backed staff myself, I’d understand the whole storyline first? Or you’ll look like a fool. Mr owner of establishment from April. Discriminating whether it be race, sex and or age. Is a no no! Please don’t forget about your paying customers. Few I’m aware? As we ( customers)go in and drink and eat food. Paying overheads like staff. And to encourage your business growth so you can hire staff. If you choose to discriminate on the basis of a strong woman not excepting appalling rude behaviour. Then be open. Or know the score. If you choose to close your bar not because of the only 6 odd people outside buying drinks in the bar, unable to get food, as there’s only one member of staff actually on premises, getting a chicken and chips( I actually didn’t buy the food and only ate a chip or two) The young gentleman who was working did ask the group to not eat the bag of chips and chicken brought into the outside seating area. But almost gone. So fundamentally as the only staff member on premises and only 6 ish people drinking in the bar, Was more likely to of been told to close up ( as he was actually doing) But choosing to use food to chuck the group out for a bag of chips and chicken ( practically gone) unable to buy food, but would have if available to buy food in bar. But to use chips and chickengate as an excuse to close. Rather than just say that he was closing as not enough business or best practice( staffing levels) Not sure what is your health and safely best practice are? And warrants always the important to staff and customers. To be safe in there environment. If your gonnie ban a lady from your establishment, 2 weeks later you’re absolutely within your right. You’re the Owner. But only me? Iv been in many times after the chicken and chips crazy gang behaviour? Iv never had issues in your premises before. Or anywhere for over 32 years . The rest of the crazy eating food gang are not banned. And your shameful unacceptable ban was mind blowing. As you had said all of us had been banned? No they haven’t. So when I asked for a conversation about the actual situation that happened. And to clarify what Mr owner you’d just saw and allegedly heard on camera ( only You didn’t hear or see the whole thing) And possibly because of an important meeting today, wanted staff smart and all smiles? Well I’m guessing paying customers and good customers are needed as well as staff? To clarify what happened. Your member of staff took umbrage for me calling him out at his behaviour towards myself, that actual night. Pulling a chair away as I sat to finish my drink ( we were leaving) And he was busy packing chairs away. Nothing to do with anything else. This lady actually didn’t do anything wrong. I see the young inexperienced man, did not like a white older Woman asking a question. As the other Black ladies also noticed. Or next time actually , just by saying it’s ok to customers we are empty , I’m the only member of staff. Lady on phones told me to close up? so your closing. Plus health and safety? I am insulted that a member of staff has power to make an owner look daft. Me feel disappointed . . And was this more to do with my ethnicity sex age, with the young only member of staff? I’m asking a legitimate question? I’m allowed to ask that question, as I was the only white customer that evening along with the others that are still going to you place? But as I do, I’ll just positively think ( kids will not believe) I hope you do succeed in your business journey ( truly) and wish the best of success. And accountable questioning the reason for the staff members distain for a lady. The real...

DON’T GO!!

I went to this place with two of my friends. The place was looking amazing and the vibe as we went in was really nice. At the counter we’re informed that cocktails are 2 for 5£ so we got 2 each. All good so far. We sat outside and enjoyed our drinks. We later decided to have some food. I ordered a Blue Moon XL (comes with blue cheese) and my mates ordered fish and chips + a medium rare 8oz sirloin stake. We had to order at the counter as there was no apparent table service. After we paid for the food we asked for some cutlery, sauces and napkins. The barista pointed us to the waiter station and very swiftly suggested that we can get them on our own, as they didn’t do table service. I then asked for a stake knife as there was none in the cutlet basket. The same barista lets me know that she would bring it to the table (but they don’t do table service). We then returned to our table outside and enjoyed the rest of our cocktails. A few minutes later the barista comes out bringing us more napkins and cutlery (but they don’t do table service) After that she sats at a table behind us and lights a cigarette. At this point one of my mates, who had her back to the her, gets extremely agitated with the situation and asks the barista if we would have to pick up the food from the kitchen ourselves. The barista then told us that someone will bring it out for us (but they don’t do table service).

After 35 minutes the food came out. My burger was looking very poor. It had two chunky beef patties stacked underneath the thinnest buns I’ve ever eaten before. As I held the burger in my hands, my fingers were sinking through the buns and almost through the meat... I then opened up the burger as I couldn’t taste the blue cheese at all. No wonder, there was none! The stake also came out wrong. My friend asked for medium rare and it clearly came out well done. Not to mention that it was cooked in a frying pan!

I decide to go and ask for some blue cheese in a small pot so I can add it on my burger. This time there was a gentleman along with the same barista. Later that I find out that this man is the owner. He kindly explains me that the “bits” of blue cheese are in the mushroom head underneath the top bun. To which I replied “I’m sorry sir but there’s no trace of blue cheese in this burger, could I pay for some extra please?”. He then went and brought me some more for free.

While I was waiting for the blue cheese I had a quick chat with the barista, suggesting her some customer service tips as I work in the same industry for many years. She then accuses me of being rude and telling me she’s been there since 10 am without a break...

Conclusion, the food was disappointing, the staff was horrendous, this place just...

This place is one of the most frustrating places I have ever been to in my life. Although I may just be talking from my own personal experience. That “Free XL burgers on Thursdays” ad, that they post up outside, is nothing but a trap. On the First visit, I went there with a friend to see whether the quality would be worth paying for in future. On a Thursday.(you know what I went there for). I Was told that they only did it from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. I listened and came around 7:30pm with my friend, only to be told that the burgers were finished and the “chef” was on his way out to get more. Luckily, we had a meeting to attend, so the barista took our orders and ensured us that we would get the burgers once we came back. The meeting lasted long only for us to arrive just a smidge after 9:00pm. I was hoping that they would AT LEAST be considerate but my hopes were obliterated when I was told that the chef didn’t want to make the burgers. “WHAT?!” Was my exact reaction. On the SECOND visit to this villainous place, I came in (you know, second chances are allowed), only to be told that the fryer was not available for the ENTIRE DAY......... “WHAAAT?!”. Honestly, that sign they put up should be BURNED. I am FURIOUS! What a load of LIES! I’m off to get Dominos, now. P.S:- (I only put one star because that’s the only way I can post this). Please, people! I need to know whether this is a pattern or just really poor and horrendous...
