East Park, also known as Andrews Park, is one of Southampton's most beloved green spaces, offering a tranquil retreat in the heart of the city. Established in the 19th century, the park is part of the "Central Parks" network, a series of interconnected parks that provide a lush, green corridor through Southampton's urban landscape. East Park is characterized by its well-maintained lawns, vibrant flowerbeds, and mature trees, creating a picturesque setting for relaxation and recreation. The park is home to several notable features, including the Titanic Engineers' Memorial, which honours the engineers who lost their lives on the RMS Titanic. With its blend of historical significance and natural beauty, East Park serves as both a community gathering place and a reminder of Southampton's rich maritime heritage.

Coming from a place where we are lucky to enjoy the sun most of the year, it is easy to understand how much I like sunny days. If we add to that the feeling that I get walking among trees and gardens after the rain, the mix is a wonderful experience. And that is what I was able to experience in this beautiful park in Southampton. The East Park is the perfect place to exercise, read, meditate or spend a pleasant time with friends or family in the open air, just a few minutes from the sea and the city center.

Beautiful park in the cultural area of Southampton and next to the hotel we were staying Leonardo Hotel. It was also behind the shopping main street and next to Primark and Sports Direct. The park itself has beautiful mature trees and plants and the green areas are well managed the only shame is the amount of litter everywhere despite there being rubbish bins everywhere. It also has coffee shops and restaurants adjacent to the park. Definitely worth a visit and appears to be a place for locals to enjoy.

Not the best park I have seen but enough shade to sit down in sunny weather. I did not see any children playground. There is a memorial for the Titanic engineers, which actually is better looking in dark due to lighting. Other than that not much to loose if you decide to walk through it.
