My visit to Soca Shack was nothing short of exceptional. The oxtail dish I ordered was incredibly tender, practically falling off the bone, and bursting with succulent flavors. The accompanying rice and peas were cooked to perfection, and the off-menu rotti, a delightful surprise, felt like a hidden gem that absolutely should be a permanent part of their menu. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Soca Shack, a delightful Caribbean restaurant. From the moment I stepped inside the atmosphere was vibrant and truly captured the essence of the Caribbean.

I had the pleasure of trying their rich & creamy Mac and Cheese, well-made Rice and Peas, and flavorful & perfectly seasoned Jerk Chicken. The portions were incredibly generous that I had to take some home, and the flavors were still fantastic the next day.

One of the things that impressed me the most was the quick service. Despite the restaurant being busy, my food arrived promptly, and it was evident that everything was made fresh to order. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming dining experience.

We’d been recommended this place and had been meaning to come for ages, it was well worth the wait!

I’d never had authentic Caribbean food other than from the usual chain restaurants, so was looking forward to trying an assortment. We went for the jerk chicken, mutton curry, salt fish fritters, fried chicken, plantain, mac and cheese, dumplings, halloumi. Honestly I don’t think there was a single bad thing on the table. The chicken was some of the best I’ve ever eaten, moist, nice char, sweet and spicy all at the same time.

Portion sizes were decent and really good value for money.

Service was really good, chatty, friendly and happy to recommend things to us.

Will for sure be coming back here with others, their Sunday roast...
