Very old tradition pub with lots of history, built outside an old ship yard with thousands of men working in it ,it was the first port of call when they can through the gates lunchtime and after work. The place has not really changed much over the years except it now has garden area and decking it has been smartened up and has a sofa lounge area selling traditional...

Was very quiet when we got there, sometime after 9pm. No one was in the lounge bar until a woman came in on her own. She obviously knew the woman behind the bar as they got chatting.

The bar woman knows her ales and offered us a polite and friendly service.
