My daughter had the Panko Chicken starter (plus a side of chips) and I had the Electra Fried Chicken Ramen main. The panko chicken had a slight sweetness to the sauce, but it wasn't overpowering or overly sweet, the balance was just right. The chicken itself was really crispy and delicious (I had to stop myself from eating all my daughters food, oops!). The ramen dish was just as tasty. It had A LOT of flavour to it, and a good amount of heat too. The only downside is I would have liked more egg in it as it was amazing! Price wise it was reasonable, on par with what you would expect locally (I think it was £6 starter, main £15). Slightly unconventional in the sense you pay for the food separately to the drink, but that didn't cause an issue, as you still order both at the bar. Read moreSaw that this was a pop up in the beehive many months ago and was so glad when it became a permanent arrangement. Have now visited many times both in house and for take out. Great food, the chef and owner clearly takes pride in his business. Once they ran out of ramen so we ordered the katsu curry (also good) and the next time we ordered the ramen, they added a little freebie with a hand written sorry note which was a lovely touch. Really pleasantly surprised having never been in this pub before. We found lovely decor, friendly staff and good food. Prices for the food were reasonable given portion sizes.
