Costa Coffee — Restaurant in St Helens

I hate writing a bad review because I've been coming to this Costa for years and the staff are some of the best people about. However today me my mum and little girl came in and was served by an extremely rude big blonde woman, who we felt was even rolling her eyes at us at one point. No customer service and made us feel like we were bothering her for being there. I asked for My drink in a takeaway one which seemed to bother her, so the. She's decided to put all our drinks in takeaway ones. My 2 year old got a babychino and when she took a sip said "ouchhhh hot" so I put my finger in and it was boiling milk! The Costa is situated off one of the busiest roads in St.Helens and traffic can mount up quite frequently. The building is also situated inside a retail park which can again cause traffic delays due to congestion. The service I received was 5 star, the employee was polite, quick and gave helpful advice regarding my choice. All covid measures where in place and they also have adapted the drive thru window with a small extending box which hands you your order. This helps maintain the recommended 2 metres at all times. The coffe was great, the sandwich was awesome as usual. You can always count on Costa coffee.

But the staff is another story, the lady was so rude to a point i wanted to cancel my order and just tell her off. It wasn't just me she was rude with the other 2 customers after me.

It wasn't busy, on the opposite, there was 1 drive thru car and 3 of use to be served and maybe 3 or 4 people seated.

I have been to this branch a few times and 9 out of 10 i say i wish i went to the retail park branch next to Halfords. There is a big difference in the staff attitude.

As a costa fan i really hope...
