Thawa Bridge — Restaurant in Stafford

Collected menu from restaurant on Thursday evening so myself and my partner decided to try this out this Friday evening, we rung our order through at 20:05PM and was advised the food would take 30 minutes to be cooked. When heading down to the restaurant my partner headed inside to pay and collect the food where he was seated on a 2 seated table surrounded by other diners waiting for our food, 20 minutes later a guy came outside where I was sitting in the car and asked if I was waiting for a collection, I said yes and he advised he would go inside and hurry the order up. My partner came back outside with no food and then 5 to 10 minutes later someone brought our food outside to the car. After eating the food ordered all of the meals tasted nothing but bland, no flavour or spices and we are extremely let down and deflated after looking forward to this meal all day. went restaurant sat 29.02.20 1 hour for starters to arrive onion bargies were like rubber. We were very hungry so ate starters value £8. Then the mains arrived I had a very small keema and mushroom balti. Which lacking flavour my wife had a mixed vegetable tawa which arrived in a balti dish not a skillet or a plate. We realised why when my wife said it consisted of only onion and potatoes.whisy wasn't obvious when served in a balti dish. The theordered chilli and garlic nan arrived which was actually a keema nan. So I asked for the bill and it presented as £28.But the owner Abdul stated because on our last visit we praised him a lot he decided to reduce the bill by £8 which meant we paid £20 for 2 starters. Been a customer of Abdul's for the last 23 Yrs and, along with a couple of mates and my brothers, make a weekly visit to his latest Balti venture; Thawa Bridge Restaurant and Takeaway. The food is delicious, the service is great and the staff friendly and attentive. Our weekly injection of fusion spices and herbs are well taken care of by Abdul and his team. Thawa Bridge is not licenced but you can leave whatever you fancy with your meals in advance, or bring them with you, for them to serve.
