Enjoyed my time at the Post House Bar and Grill. Went for Sunday lunch and it was very very nice. A bit more a fancy Sunday lunch for sure but it was certainly just as tasty. Portion sizes are big and very filling may cost a bit more but you for sure get your moneys worth. The place is very nicely decorated and the staff seemed friendly and the food came very quick albeit could have been a little warmer. The cocktail selection was also good and they were very nice.

We've eaten here multiple times over the last few years. Every time has had amazing food with attentive staff. The whole place, no matter what area you end up seated in, is beautifully decorated. We've also taken our dog multiple times now and the staff have been very accommodating for us.

The staff and venue are fantastic and as for the food, wow. Well presented, plentiful and flavoursome. It was our wedding anniversary and the little touch was nice from the staff.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS !

My Experience : -

Having Entered and Standing at the Bar and Being Ignored by the direct in front of me couple of Barstaff . The Bistro staff , asked me what i required . To which I stated , only a drink at the Moment . A Pint of Staraparmen Please, to which they do not sell . A pint of Stella Artois Please to which they do not sell . A pint of Guineas Please , to which I could see , which was off ( Run Out ) .A Pint of Estrella Please which tasted Horrible as if the Pipes and not been Washed . Having had my Terrible Drink at the Bar , and Enquiring about the menu , I ordered Food & Payed . Having taken a Seat in the Restaurant when my food was Ready . I asked for Vinegar for my 'Home Cooked Chips ' having it not Accompanying them . Having waited several minutes & having to ask Again ! This being an early week afternoon and being the only Dinner. Then finding the Condiments on the table were Empty ! & then having to ask for those also ! Having Eaten my Average , very Overpriced Food . ( The Same items at ' The Swan ' vastly Superior) I was kindly asked by the Young staff if I Required another Drink . To which I replied , i would Mull it over whilst Finishing the one I had . Having an Hour of time passing since Payment and vacating the Premises , and walking up to near the bus time where a Crowd of People where standing . The Manager stopped me and said ' You had just left without Paying ' very loudly so everybody could clearly Hear ! To which I clearly stated i had ! He was then very Persistent Stating I hadn't and Insinuating, i was a Theft ! Having decided to miss my ride home to go back to the ' Bar & Grill ' to clear the situation of my own Fruition. I asked him to check the CcTv , to which he Refused . I asked to talk the the member of staff who had taken Payment to which he Refused . I offered to try to get a mini bank statement for transaction proof , to which he refused ! Having then Asked for an Apology for maybe the Establishments Card Technology not working and it not being my Issue . He Point Blankly Refused to Apologise about his Actions . Having spoken to Multiple Polite very young Staff members who had all only been working there Days because of being Peplaced weekly due to Leaving . I had to try to resort to Police involvement who where not willing to...

Went for dinner with friends on a Friday night, first visit. First impression was good, place nicely decorated and was very busy.

Lovely drinks and good selection of non alcoholic drinks for designated drives.

Starts we shared -CORNISH CRAB & PARMESAN ARANCINI, which were okay but we found bacon in the garnish which was not stated on the menu (my husband is Pescatarian so this was not okay) -KOREAN FRIED CAULIFLOWER which was tasty with the dip was nice but was very soft and was mostly batter very little cauliflower. -TEMPURA BATTERED SQUID, not bad at all and dip was tasty, good amount of garlic

For mains I had STICKY CHINESE SPICED BELLY PORK (see photo). This meal came out only just warm. One piece of pork was lovely and soft, the other was terribly dry and tough. The rice was terrible and horrible - I could not identify a gain of rice. It was very mushy and compacted and cold. I did complain about this but was just told that’s how egg fried rice is!

SALTED CARAMEL CRÈME BRÛLÉE with caramelised banana, banoffee puree, caramel brandy snap and banana crumb Crème brûlée was nicely set and a good crunchy sugar layer on top- but could not identify a trace of salted Carmel. Banana weren’t caramelised but just dry banana slices. Banoffee “purée” was just a sauce, which was nice but very little present on the plate. Brandt snap had no snap and was very soft.

My friends and husband and similar experiences with their dish’s. One positive was that there was a good selection for gluten free.

Over all not a good experience and we’re we’re not impressed. Will not be visiting again. Very over priced for...

Been here a number of times now over the last few years, after living in Birmingham and eating in hundreds of restaurants I can honestly say The Post House is my favourite. It's beautifully decorated and the service has been consistently flawless every time we've come. The food is always absolutely spectacular, to the extent that I went and got a bottle of truffle oil from the shop and can't bring myself to cook fries at home without it! (Still doesn't compare to their ridiculous truffle fries though, if you haven't tried them you have to!) We had quite a late booking last night due to being at the Panto and didn't realise, although we were welcomed to stay until closing, that last orders for the kitchen were sooner than the booking ended. Despite this, we were still served an extra phenomenal cocktail and dessert and the waiter even apologised for the delay saying that it was past their usual last order time so it took a little longer to get cleaned up and prepared, we felt so bad for not knowing last orders had passed but didn't have a clue due to the exceptional care and professionalism of the wonderful people who work here who still brought us more food and drink anyway. (If we do it again next time, tell us no! We genuinely won't mind, we'd rather you all got home on time) whatever all these people are getting paid isn't enough!

Thank you for yet another wonderful night with outstanding food, outstanding waitresses, waiters and of course the chefs. Cannot recommend this...
