Our recent visit to this particular curry restaurant was nothing short of a multi-sensory experience that delighted from the very first moment we stepped through the door. We were a group of ten individuals, each with varying palates and expectations, yet the establishment managed to not only accommodate us with grace and efficiency but also deliver an experience that far exceeded our collective hopes.
Upon entry, we were immediately captivated by the restaurant’s ambiance, which blended modern sophistication with subtle traditional accents in a way that felt both intentional and effortless. The most striking feature—undoubtedly the centerpiece of the restaurant’s aesthetic allure—was a stunning running fountain enclosed behind an immaculate pane of glass. The water flowed in a continuous, serene cascade, catching ambient lighting in a way that made the entire feature shimmer like a moving piece of artwork. This elegant installation lent a sense of tranquility and understated luxury to the dining room, setting a peaceful tone that permeated the rest of our evening.
The staff were attentive and remarkably well-organized, navigating the logistical challenge of serving a large party with impressive precision. Our server was courteous, patient, and deeply knowledgeable about the menu, offering suggestions and answering questions with genuine enthusiasm. Orders were taken without error, and each course was delivered promptly and gracefully, with every dish looking as good as it tasted.
And what flavors awaited us! The food was a festival of spices and aromas, each dish prepared with what was clearly an expert hand and an authentic appreciation for the culinary traditions they represented. The butter chicken was a silken, velvety marvel—rich with tomato and cream, balanced perfectly with warming spices. The lamb curry was tender to the point of melting, steeped in a deeply flavorful gravy that had clearly been simmered to perfection. Vegetarian options were equally strong, particularly the paneer tikka masala, which boasted a sauce so good it was practically drinkable.
The naan bread—oh, the naan—was warm, pillowy, and served fresh from the tandoor. We found ourselves tearing off piece after piece, using it to sop up every last drop of sauce, an act which in itself became a communal ritual of sorts. The rice was delicately aromatic, each grain separate and fluffy, the ideal companion to the hearty mains.
In terms of ambiance, acoustics, temperature, and cleanliness, the restaurant maintained a standard that was both professional and welcoming. It was busy, yes, but never felt crowded or chaotic. Despite the steady buzz of conversation and clinking cutlery, there remained an air of calm, anchored perhaps by the rhythmic sound of that beautiful fountain.
All in all, our evening was nothing short of exceptional. This restaurant did more than serve us dinner—it gave us an experience, thoughtfully curated from the decor to the last bite. For those seeking not only a meal but a memorable outing with friends or family, this is an establishment I would recommend without hesitation. In fact, I’m already looking for...
Read morelly disappointed! I booked a table of 8 people for this Saturday a week and a half in advance. Because I had heard negative reviews about people not having tables I rang on the evening to double check my reservation was still okay. We turned up five minutes to before my reservation (8:25) to be told the table wasn't ready. Obviously at this stage we weren't overly concerned and we were asked to just wait which we did. However, we were left waiting here for a further twenty minutes - we were stood in the way of the other diners and the waiting staff and felt like we were in everyone's way. I then asked someone when our table would be ready and explained that I wasn't happy and a gentleman (I assume the manager) explained it wouldn't be long and it was because other people had stayed too long on their tables. Eventually a group moved off their table and admittingly the waiters did rally around and remake the table. However, when we got to our table it was clear it was not a table for 8 (more like a small 6) the cutlery was dirty and we were placed underneath peeling paint where the walls where clearly damp. By this stage we were fed up and wanted to leave but we had our daughters with us and knew that we would struggle to get any where else. We sat and waited and nobody came to take our order, eventually I went to the bar to complain and admittingly then they came and took our orders and the service became prompt. Unfortunately, this was a case of too little, too late as it was now an hour since we had arrived for our meal and we still hadn't had a drink or anything to eat.
When the food arrived it was lovely which it has been on a previous trip here but unfortunately the rest of the experience spoiled what was supposed to be a...
