The older lady when you walk in through the gift shop is extremely rude, jumping down our throats that we couldn't have booked 3 in for afternoon tea, they only take bookings for minimum of 5 people, when she is the person who sold me the afternoon tea vouchers before Christmas. Terrible customer service. Then in the tea room the food is really nice, the afternoon tea we had changed a sandwich each to a plain ham sandwich, this wasn't done, the server apologised and must have asked us 3, 4 times do we want any more sandwiches, they didn't take away the 3 that were wrong and we accepted the ham sandwich swap, to then be charged £5 extra for a ham sandwich on top of already paying over £50 for 3 afternoon teas.

There is no where I can see to reply to you. I appreciate the apology however you mention remembering you got the swaps we asked for before the day right and they were already done, what were the swaps then if you remember? I can assure you you most certainly didn't and it wasn't a difficult order we all didn't want a particular sandwich and it was being swapped to a ham so all 3 of us would have had 2 ham sandwiches each and we didn't, which is why we told the younger lady in the tea room who was the only polite one. Just a cherry on top of that horrid women in the gift shop already spoiling the mood...

I want to make it clear that this review refers to total lack of customer service in the gift shop and does not refer at all to the cafe where in the past has been excellent service and food .On entering the shop on today, sun 28 th with my dearest family Friend 92 yrs old ,we glanced into the cafe and could see it was busy ,at that point the women behind the till abruptly stated we're full ,not l am sorry but we're busy right now . She made no attempt to check whether or how long it would be if we waited, she had no customer at that point .We then went on to purchase some Christmas present s feeling disappointed with her attitude only to return to the till to see her coming out of the cafe and saying to 2 people there are some people about to leave ,they're just wiping a table,.l said then l thought you just said you were full ,how many are you again abruptly, 3 l said oh well we've no room for 3 .My husband would have waited outside actually as my friend was desperate for a drink .lt was her attitude thar came over as rude .Some people we new were present and also agreed how...
