So I have eaten twice here now, once in the evening service and once during the day service. I would definitely recommend eating in the day, the food is far superior. Im not sure if they have less staff in an evening that is making the difference. I had a starter of prawns in the evening and unfortunately they were over cooked and rubbery and tasted like burnt griddle. Also i had the same pudding as in the day time, of coffee and minature banoffe pie (which is divine) and the day time version was presented like the person who was doing it cared and was not in a rush. I had the rib eye and i wasnt very impressed but I had the mignot fillet in the day and it was divine! The service is also second to none, the waiting staff are very impressive and they get to keep their tips!!!

Went here for the first time about a week ago. Was going to eat. Got there 10 mins prior to opening, no tables out. Staff inside from 12 (opening time) not opening door. Many cars came and went in this time frame. Staff turning up after opening (waiting staff judging by uniform) Doors didn't open til nearly 12.20pm Went through to bar, barman (very tall, bald and very slim) thought ignoring me then getting ice in ice bucket was a priority over customer service and sales. Then what I assume was the manager, (large man, 40's, shirt open and I'll fitting, creased clothes) came to serve me. Very rapidly many other customers turned up to a clearly I'll prepared restaurant. Tables not put out until after I had returned from bar. Chose not to eat there, nor would I now. As a manger with 25 years experienced in the hospitality industry, what I saw was incredibly poor management. Even basic customer service skills desperately missing. A sham of organisation. Lack of appetite on a senior level. Staff following poor training and direct role models. I would not recommend a visit to here, even to hope for any form of good experience.

Jon was Our waiter and his customer service skills are excellent. He made Our experience at Miller & Carter Stevenage great. The food was amazing. My parents had the prawns as a starter and my sister and i had the salt and pepper calamari, as mains we all had steaks from ribeye, fillet and sirloin, which we all enjoyed. I cant remember the name of the dessert my mom had but she really enjoyed it. My dad didnt want but my sister and i opted for cocktails in place of the desert which were all amazing, i had a cocktail that had disaronno blush cocktail, my sister had the espresso cocktail and we shared an amazing chocolate orange cocktail which leaves you wanting more. We also had some other cocktails which are shown in the pictures I will be back😁

my girlfriend and I had dinner here this evening. courteous, friendly staff and the food was great 👍 I had mixed grill and the steak was just how I asked for it and my girlfriend had the rump steak which was just how she asked for. I had the Rocky horror desert and my girlfriend had the waffle with ice cream and couldn't fault it at all, very tasty. The buttons on my shirt were being tested by the time we left!!! 😂 I didn't get the young ladies name that was serving us, but she couldn't of been more polite and friendly if she tried. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made sure we were OK, had everything we needed and were happy, without being intrusive. A great visit and would happily visit again
