I went to Nandos as normal with my toddler and husband. Staff were very helpful and courteous as usual. I went to the till to place the order with our loyalty card that would now entitle us to a free 1/2 chicken!! I visited the same Nando's on 29th June 2012 and the top half of my loyalty card was signed by a staff member. As I presented this card on 10th July I was told it was no longer valid. Bemused I asked when the card expired to which I was told 30th June 2012. I asked to speak to the manager who informed me there was nothing she could do. (Been a customer service manager I appreciate sometimes goodwill gestures have to be honored just to keep the loyalty)-however it appears even with a loyalty card, the management team cannot honor this and I was given the standard script- write to H/O. So I took time out of my very very busy schedule to ask them why when I visited on 29th June, no one informed me that the stamp/signature I received is worth nothing and I would be better off validating it then or starting a new one! I ended up paying for my free half chicken and although £6.95 doesn’t break the bank for me I do feel I was fobbed off and my loyalty was not considered in the slightest.
I’ve gone from a fan (and trust me this is a big thing as I’m a full fledge vegetarian) to a non fan, ready to get my fingertips onto the review centre and warn others to check their loyalty cards!!! I suggested they place a notice up or staff are trained to explain this to customers so we don’t feel conned. Finally, what is the point? It’s not like they have stopped the loyalty card system! Yes the new card has a barcode scan, the website address and is a nice colour and design but what’s the point in a re vamp when customers start doubting the loyalty system….they wrote back to me and said send the loyalty card recorded delivery- well to be frank- its cheaper to pay for the chicken (not...
Read moreIf i could give No stars i would. I love Nando's and go Weekly. This particular Nando's is the worst I have ever been too. But i will Digress
Staff - they clearly dont want to be there, but the missery clearly starts from the top as a manager (some guy) has a non freindly , customers are a pain kind of approach on things. I will give you an example, Went to this Nando's on a Sunday, Run out of lots of basic food like chicken burgers and sides, fair enough perhaps they had an unexpected influx of customers and sold out. Ordered a meal for myself, wife and child (No frozen yogurt avail) My meal came out and instead of the Perinaise i ordered i was given a sauce dish with the smallest squirt of mayonaise mixed with sauce that i have ever seen. I was given no explanation. I ask the manager over he says they run out. Then just this blank look like (don't be bothering me with your petulant requests) I told him that i am not paying for what is a sauce dish of two free sauces. So he said fine angrily and refunded the money i paid for the sauce. Then my wifes meal appeared with a half full portion of chips, there were more on my 3 year olds kids meal plate. She told the lady who delivered the chips that the portion size looks too small. The lady delivering the food looked dismissively at my wife and said, No thats the size and walked away.
Clearly they did not ask how the meal during the rest of our time there like they are supposed to when they take your table reserve away, they just ignored our table like we were lepers or carrying the plague.
I wont go there again its badly managed, will just keep going to the ones in London where they no what...
Read moreYesterday was the first time me and my partner came here since the main flux of COVID. Tables were set really close together and made it difficult to get to the booth, and I’m quite slim. I felt uncomfortable trying to make sure I wasn’t going to get in the way of anybody’s experience, and was worried that others were going to knock our table or drinks when they went to leave. Food was okay, but the sides were far superior to the mains. My partner’s main complaint that the chicken was only seasoned on a surface level and over relied on the sauce to season it, instead of the chicken being marinaded. This was the same for my pita, so instead of getting a nice balance of fillings with sauce, I was just left with sauce in my mouth by the end. Staff were friendly enough which was the best part of the experience, so if you’re happy with a quick service with a smile then this is the place to go. But there are definitely areas for improvement with the dining experience and food preparation (probably not just a site issue, but a...
