Loved five guys before but now i love it even more and for sure the best five guys i've ever been to.
Is of course on the pricer side of fast food, but the burgers are banging and you get what you pay for at the end of the day.
Team seem in good spirits and efficient. They seem genuinely happy to be at work which is something that can be harder to find within industries such as hospitality, particularly fast food.
I own my own companies and if I knew the place were being managed like that, I wouldn't be happier.
Was served by Tyra I think his name was and he was a legend. Perfect mix between professional and humorous. Not everyone likes to be called sir. I'd much prefer a little bit of banter and personality.
Didn't get the managers name, but the geezer from the Netherlands with the facial hair, I mean what a guy. Just seems like a young lad with so much passion for hospitality and his knowledge of five guys as a company was incredible. Everything from the family behind it, company values, ethos to supply chain knowledge and why you get your own potatoes sourced, why you use the beef you do, why you use peanut oil etc was just super cool to see.
PS, no I wasn't paid to write this. I just love to see people who love their jobs, because it is really rare to find someone with that level of passion and knowledge about their role. One of my business partners knows Charles Dunstone well and if he knew one of his stores were being run like this, he'd be incredibly...
Read moreOn Friday 13th May around 1pm my girlfriend fancied one of the famous Five Guys milkshakes, she chose the REESE'S Peanut Butter Cups flavour and was not disappointed. The milkshake was absolutely amazing, she said and we both agreed that three of the staff were lovely and likeable. One of the ladies even complimented my girlfriends dress so she was over the moon.
However, I left feeling like I was less than human just for being vegetarian. Naturally, my girlfriend wanted to share her milkshake with me so I do what I always do and made sure it was suitable.
I asked the nice gentleman with dark hair and beard if it was vegetarian, he thought it was but he wasn’t 100% sure, so he quickly reached for a menu searching for the answer.
It was at this moment when the rudest man came over to mock us. He was shorter than the first guy but clearly had huge ego problem. The guy serving us turned to ask if the milkshake was vegetarian, in response the we were both laughed at as he backed off to share the amusing joke with the two nice ladies that were also working at that time.
This horrible person made me feel uncomfortable as he childishly and awkwardly flirted with the two girls that clearly weren’t impressed as he said “He just asked if the milkshake is vegetarian!” Needless to say I won’t be going back there again.
In summary, most of the staff were lovely and the milkshake was amazing so Five Guys is great but a visit can be ruined by one nasty...
Read moreGreat place for a burger and chips! Food is very tasty! It's a shame this review couldn't keep up to the standards of my previous review, but Google asked for it, so here it is. 😅🤦♂️ Unfortunately, we had our order completely mixed up, toppings in burgers that didn't want them, and different toppings in ones that did, we all tried to swap around the burgers to get what we wanted, but some got left without a full order (toppings) We didn't go and ask for it to be changed, we was just all so hungry, and the burgers tasted good anyway, so to just save the hassle and wait for it to be prepared again, we just ate it as is. And my dad a wife talked me out of it, otherwise I'd of gone an said something as, as its not fair that we didn't get what we actually asked/payed for. But with all that being said, I'd still return, but this time, we will be double checking that it's all correct before getting halfway through the burgers then ...
