Nando's Stevenage Roaring Meg - Retail Park — Restaurant in Stevenage

Lots of young kids more interested in having a chat and ignoring customers. You wouldn’t keep Business if it wasn’t for your customers so would be nice to be treated with more respect and welcomed. Came into the restaurant with 3 servers, one of which was Georgia who did not greet me or ask if I wanted a table or takeaway so I just proceeded to walk to the till as I have a health condition and cannot stand for long periods of time and I inject so needed to eat soon. Again lots of staff and maybe 6 tables in total, but queue at till had 5 customers waiting to be served and only manager taking orders so I asked the young Blonde girl Chloe with glasses if she could serve on the till as she was chatting and cleaning sauces… not the most important job! Also would be nice to see them supporting other staff and taking orders…. She said “not right now” with the worst attitude and shook her head as if I’d asked her to do something extraordinary! Didn’t even look at me! Don't think she would respond like that if the area manager asked the same… also when I made a complaint about her to the manager…. I watched him speak to her and she proceeded to go around the restaurant with different members of staff giving an attitude and making it clear she was talking about the situation and lingering around the food. I reviewed this Nando’s a year ago after only couple visits and said it was one to watch and I was right. I’ve been to so many Nando’s and have always liked the leisure park Nando’s the most, but after the recent refurb it doesn’t quite have the warming atmosphere it once had. This roaring Meg Nando’s has the atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, tasty food that came out quickly, nice selection of tables and easy to access all the bits and bobs you need. Whilst I miss the old Mediterranean salad Nando’s used to do, I was pleasantly surprised by the new Mac and cheese, a nice aside to the chips in our full platter. Would definitely recommend this Nando’s, it’s now my favourite!

Lastly, a special shout out to the manager, she’s always around putting in the work, very friendly and warming and always makes you feel welcome. This Nando’s is great and it’s a testament to her dedication...

Where do I start? Yet another fantastic experience at Nando’s, our go-to spot for an early evening family meal! From the moment we arrived, Chelsea welcomed us with a big smile and took us straight to “our family table”—a lovely personal touch that makes all the difference. She was brilliant throughout, meeting us at the order area and making sure everything was spot on.

The food, as always, was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. It came out super fast, served with a smile, and left us all feeling satisfied after a healthy and delicious meal—all at a great price, which is even more appreciated in these times.

A special shoutout to the manager, Aspa, who always makes the effort to check in and say hello. That personal touch never goes unnoticed and keeps us coming back every week!
