We held a baby shower here this weekend and had the most excellent time.

Chris and his team had kept in contact from the initial booking until the event.

kitchen was confident that they could meet any dietry needs which was good.

we booked for 15 and we had the venu to ourselves.

the inside was beautifully presented with one nice long table down the middle, a table for gifts and another day which we sorted games and bits from.

the service was excellent and extremely attentive.

choice of teas was lovely, the cherry Bakewell really is a must try!

the cakes were beautiful, very delicate and beautiful flavours, scones beautiful and very obviously fresh. we had two small scones each, a passion fruit and mango layered cake, a blue berry and almomd bakewell cake a berry moose style cake and a chocolate choux popnstick cake.

the sandwiches were beautifully presented, but in my.view, would have benefited from being more simple and of greater quantity - the end result felt far more about the cakes and.could have been better balanced.

Simply perfect. From the moment we called and spoke to Chris to book a table for high tea, we knew we were in for an exceptional experience. Chris was attentive and focused on understanding the occasion, dietary requirements, seating location and preferences for tea. Upon arriving we were warmly welcomed and seated. The high tea was chosen the day before and all prepared before arriving. I won't go into too much detail about the selections of sandwiches, scones and sweet treats. All were delightful and full of flavour and accompanied by the best tea I have had. The Moor tea room is beautifully decorated and perfect for an intimate setting, whether you are with your partner, friends or family. The menu offers a thoughtful option for children, also! Popped in for tea/coffee and sweet treats. On arrival we were told they're fully booked for afternoon teas but then as we were leaving we were advised we could stay for tea/coffee which was our original plan. We were glad we were offered this because you now got yourself a regular to be customer. The Earl Grey tea I had was pleasantly aromatic and we both went for carrot cake by owner's recommendation - so glad we did. Cake was very delicious, could feel the lovely subtle cinnamon flavour in it and very very very very importantly, the cake was not too sweet to make your teeth feeling they're melting. For me this is a strong enough reason to come back. I thought it to be impossible to find a cafe where cakes are scrumptious but not sugar packed. Please keep them this way.
