Munchies Stockport — Restaurant in Stockport

Absolutely the best chicken, doner, and loaded fries i've ever eaten at an amazing price. Walked in with some friends and we each got a £10 'Munchies Box 1'. Expecting an alright amount of food with £10 not getting you much nowadays at the conglomerates it was a great surprise to see a real stacked portion of food!

Whilst we were waiting for it to all be cooked, the staff serving us - whom i'm also guessing is the owner - set out some sauces for us pieces of small chicken to try all of the sauces before we make our choice. He asked for our "real, honest review" and truly valued what we had to say about the food and sauces. Both of which were absolutely top tier.

He had no issue with me wanting two sauces, and all around it seemed like he didn't care about the money. Him and the one other staff member in there truly just cared about providing nice food to the local area.

Some reviews on here are leaving negative feedback, and honestly I don't know why. The shop is pretty new so i'm unsure if these bad reviews are leftovers from the last place occupied here. Food was delivered within a decent time, about half an hour. The chicken burger was dry but had good flavours/seasoning. The mixed kebab came with no naan and the donner was also dry, like it had either been cooked too long or left to sit for a while. Shame though as it’s alright donner, minus the dryness. But the shawarma was disgusting. Tasted like they had grabbed a packet of chicken from Asda’s chilled section and then microwaved it. Chips were just a tad over done too. So this is my 3rd time ordering from here and once again the food was AMAZING! Ordered a munchies box, kids ordered chicken burgers and it all tasted amazing. Only found this place by accident but it's quickly become our fave takeaway for Chicken! The owner is genuinely such a nice guy and we had a pleasant friendly chat, also gave me a wing and a chicken strip with sauce to taste whilst I was waiting. To see an owner proud of his food is always a great sign! Will be back again soon, this time I am going for the double chicken burger! Can't wait....
