Embarrassing experience, I have been a regular in this Turkish cafe for a long time and never had a bad experience. I took my auntie and uncle for lunch, I went inside to have a chat in regards to our special request.

My auntie is severely sight impaired and has her guide dog with her all the time. I had a chat with the cafe owner and explained the situation and also asked her about the guide dog policy, She was happy to accept us and told me that there are only two tables we would be able to sit at and the waiting time would be over twenty minutes. We were happy with it and started to wait outside.

After approximately twenty-five minutes the guy came outside and claimed to be the owner's husband and started asking my auntie questions about her disability. We were shocked and extremely disturbed by his attitude and body language. He pointed to our guide dog and told my auntie that this dog is not a guide dog asked for his certification and also questioned my auntie's disability in a very inappropriate way.

We couldn't believe what was going on, My auntie was wearing her sunflower lanyard to make an awareness about her disability. She told him that you can't question my disability and also mentioned our guide dog is been registered by Assistance Dogs (UK) and has an ID book.

I approached the guy and told him that he discriminated against my auntie and had been extremely rude and inappropriate to us. He then started swearing Turkish and completely switched his language and his aggression went beyond this point. He kept getting close to me and threaten to punch me. My wife had a pram with her and our six-month-old baby boy was terrified by this guy's awful behaviour.

My wife managed to push him to prevent an assault attempt. We started to walk away from the situation and he was still screaming and swearing at us. My auntie broke down with tears and told me that she has never been in an uncomfortable situation like this. We felt disgusted by it and could not believe how a person like this facing customers and working in a hospitality environment.

I will be escalating this further including reporting this directly to Disability Rights UK and Citizens Advice also will be in touch with the...

My first time dining here after being recommended by a friend. I ordered the Avocado and poached eggs on toast for £10.95. I assumed that this would be smashed avo and would be seasoned and served on the toast. This wasn't the case. It came out as poached eggs on toast with a side of half a sliced Avocado. Not a drop of seasoning in sight. I asked for chilli flakes and they had none so settled for black pepper. When I asked why is was served like that instead of on the toast as the menu described, I was told the changes in chef recently resulted in that change and it used to be smashed. The menu also had the option of poached eggs on toast for £6 and a side of Avocado for £2 so when the bill came, I asked to be charged for that as that it what I received and I didn't understand the additional £2.95 in cost. For a rocket garnish??? See the pic! The manner of the member of staff that reported back from the manager, who decided to remain behind the counter, was incredibly rude. He reduced the bill like I'd asked and said next time 'I should read the menu correctly or ask a question if I'm unsure'. I assured them I would not be back and made clear that their menu might need a change in wording. Had the matter been acknowledged or handled better, I wouldn't be writing this review but their attitudes were...

Came a few months ago and the food was good. Disappointed this time- was put next to the kitchen where it was loud and dirty when there were plenty of other empty tables. I them got hassled every second to order when I wasn’t ready because they want to rush you out of the door. I ordered something not what I thought it was ( my mistake) I thought it was halal as 1-its turkish 2- I’ve ordered sausages before and they were halal there and 3-it did not say pork sausages for the kids meal. I still didn’t blame anyone i just gave the sausages back. Two members of staff kept telling me to read the menu next time-although nowhere did it say pork sausages but they kept rudely reiterating the point. My food ended up being cold dealing with this and so was my tea. The toilets were very dirty- very disappointing. Only one member of staff was actually nice and helpful. Safe to say i will not be returning. Plenty of other nice cafes...

Lovely Breakfast at Turquoise Café My wife and I had a wonderful breakfast at Turquoise Café in Burnhall, Greater Manchester. The service was excellent, the café was spotlessly clean, and the staff were very friendly. We both had the Turquoise Breakfast, which included grilled halloumi, feta cheese, fried eggs, olives, fresh cucumber and tomato, avocado, and Cheddar cheese — all fresh and absolutely delicious. My wife enjoyed a tea while I had a lovely café latte. The sunny Saturday morning made it feel even more special and romantic. We’ll definitely be back — highly recommended! Loved the place! Came in for breakfast with the wife and little one and though it was busy we were sat down straight away. There was a queue outside for those with parties of more than 4 people. Very clean place, however I must apologise for the mess my daughter made while in the hi chair. We had the Turkish breakfast and the vegetarian breakfast with tea and hot chocolate. We enjoyed it extremely and the simit bread was nice with the clotted cream and honey. Staff were absolutely brilliant. Can’t wait to come again next time we are around the area.
