Turquoise Gourmet Restaurant Bramhall — Restaurant in Stockport

We were taken here whilst at family in the Stockport area so had no idea what to expect. Have to say what a good choice, it was quite lively but the staff were warm and friendly and the food was excellent. Partner had the lamb chops and said they were very good being quite large, family had the lamb and apricots which again she said was excellant and the taste I tried, the lamb was very tender and the apricots were soft and juicy and went very well with the lamb. I had the lamb sizzler which was still sizzling 15 minutes after starting. The lamb again was very tender and the peppers and onions were cooked just right, and the marinade it was served in was just right, not to spicy, not to salty, just lifted the dish nicely. The portions of food were quite large even the garlic bread was a healthy portion for 2 and the humous was also the right consistancy and very nice. We ordered chips which the waiter forgot to put through but we all agreed that it was quite good because we don't think we could have eaten them. No body had a sweet as we were to full but we did have coffee and again, it was proper coffee, hot and strong, and if my partner says it was good, then it was. We really liked this place, and it was obvious from the number of folk there, it is very popular. Can see us going back next time...

I can not fault the food and the over all restaurant. I just think the lady who works in there needs to brush up on her customer service skills. We had 3 children with us( one of which has some sensory issues) we asked them to turn the music down as we were seated right under the speaker. She rolled her eyes and kind of stormed off! I had to ask a man who works there and he was brilliant and turned it down for us. We got our food which was lovely no faults at all. I then asked about the childrens ice cream which is included in their set meal. To which the lady rolled her eyes yet again and threatened my 5 year old with no ice cream because he couldnt decide on the flavour he wanted in the 0.5 seconds she gave him. We really do love this place but unfortunately we probably will not...

We had a lovely family meal here this weekend following which I've decided that this is one of my favourite restaurants. There's an excellent selection of hot and cold starters, including an option to have a plate of favourites to share between two. (Beware, it's a very filling option, but undeniably a great selection!) The main courses include a wide selection of kebabs, salads, roasted meats, all of which are served with rice and salad. The portions are very generous and the food is very tasty. I can heartily recommend the chicken/lamb sizzlers, the lamb sis kebab and also the chicken/haloumi salad. The staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The place is usually very busy, so I'd definitely recommend...
