Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

I’ve been twice since built, first there was no queue and we had already ordered by the app, we only needed to be handed the drinks. So as we do with every Costa we went around the drive thru just to be passed the drinks. A Lady with brown(reddish tints, shoulder length) hair basically screamed at us and told us to go wait in the collection point for app orders out front. Just to let everyone know. There isn’t one. We found a drive thru waiting bay. NOT THE SAME. And there’s only one in such a tight space. Took their time bringing it out as made it harder as they had to leave the place where we were to come and bring it us and made us go around twice nearly to park out front. No sorry nothing, they were just rude.

Second time we parked straight in the bay, I had just finished work and as previously told we waited in the bay (we decided to give them the benefit of doubt and turns out it was the same woman again). The woman kept staring out the window at the car and decided to ignore us. Bare in mind they’re open until 20:45 and at 20:15pn the doors were shut. I knocked on and she ignored me even though my drinks were sitting there. Someone went around the drive thru and came out until I had to get out the car for a second time to knock on. She then decided to bring the drinks whilst rolling her eyes at us. Took the drinks to the car and my fella took one sip of his drink and said it tasted funny. Seems like she had purposely put a chemical in it as it literally was a chemical taste and there was a cleaner and her cleaning. So I had to re knock back on as she ignored me, she finally opened the doors after a while of my standing in the cold to say what’s wrong with it, (baring in mind it was supposed to be a light green and came out neon green) so I said it tasted chemically and the colour is off, she’s said oh right so you want another? So I said yeah I’ll wait, she brought it out passed it through a tiny hole in the door locked the door again and turned all the lights off. So even if there was an issue you couldn’t resolve it.

Staff want to learn some good customer service went in got shouted at for sitting at 1 table already somebody's table ( no one sitting there ) went to sit on another table we were a party of 3 shouted at again because we sat together told against government guidelines to move a chair ok fair enough but then another party of 3 came in moved a chair so they could sit together nothing said to them just what are the rules in costa coffee???? I am in the retail trade myself and my partner in the hospitality trade I would not treat my customers in this manner staff not clearing tables just laughing together behind counter dirty tables everywhere will not be returning worst costa coffee I have been in and I have been...

Emma and Mae - What a pair of staff! They were the most polite, jolly and all around most welcoming... they made the place feel to bright and inviting - the atmosphere was nothing I've ever felt before in any Costa or anything within this field of industry before. Not only that, they sang happy birthday to me today... it wasn't needed but my god was it amazing - they made me feel so involved by them being themselves - they are some characters absolutely hysterical the both of them! Thank you to them - what a set of employees... please acknowledge them and praise/reward them
