I've become somewhat of a Nandos connoisseur, I travel around often and have visited many different stores all across the country, this is easily to say one of the worst I've visited.
We arrived and was seated quickly enough, everything was going pretty smoothly, this Nandos restaurant in particular is decorated quite nicely compared to others I have seen, the lighting was quite nice, and the toilets were clean and smelled of lemons (Even though the particular toilet I had chose had a faulty tissue holder, luckily i brought my own in my bag). The "positive" points stop there.
We ordered our food and were sat waiting for quite some time, they weren't particularly busy at this point, maybe only seeing to a handful of tables and our food was left sitting under a heater for 15 minuets. Staff were no where to be seen until one finally appeared, however she walked straight past the food and continued to clean empty tables before serving. When our food was finally delivered it was cold. The chicken wasn't the slightest bit warm and had dried out, the chips had gone totally cold. I complained and had the food taken back. Initially they only offered to take the chips back if I scraped them onto another plate which is not only awkward but not ideal, when I then pointed out the chicken also looked just as cold, I had to sample the cold chicken in order for her to take back the entire plates and have the dish remade. Because of this delay we then had to leave for our booked cinema time, and come back later. We were given take-away cups for our mineral water we had purchased to drink with our meal, we took those with us into the cinema.
When we got back to the restaurant I had higher hopes and was expecting a nice plate of hot chips and chicken, we had our order delivered to us again. Sadly not a lot had changed, this time the chicken was luke-warm, the chips were pretty much the same, having not eaten all day, 2 hours later after a movie, I was starving hungry and needed to eat. The chicken was yet again dry, tasteless. The chips mediocre, tasteless.
We again, had to order our water we had already previously purchased, so we could have a drink with our meal, something I wasn't exactly happy about paying out for twice.
The only enjoyable moment of this meal was the pudding, which I'm %100 sure is ordered in, and not prepared by any staff besides putting it on a plate/bowl.
The music was too loud, it was hard to have a private conversation without speaking loudly over the music to be heard.

Read moreFirst of would just like to say we have visited this Nando's a few times and been let down by service and food 70% of the time . This time though I did comment to my other half that the welcome on the door was much better and friendly for a change. We went to order I wasn't asked for my Nando's card ... which I had forgot to give in also luckily I asked another waitress and she went and added the points and told us that we should've been asked for this at the till. The food came and oh my lord the smallest portions I have seen the chicken was a butterly chicken shrivelled and dry the chips were soggy and looked reheated and the haloumi cheese was soggy and looked like it had been rubbed around the floor ! As for my partners burger we had a soggy bun and the chips were the same . Not only was the food shocking but in the time we were there the entire staff floor were outside smoking 10 metres away from the door... a few members of staff were in and out a handful of Times for cigarette breaks socialising outside smoking I found it quite unprofessional in an environment serving food and for some of them to be not covering there clothes up whilst smoking is appealing . Read moreAbsolutely terrible service , ordered a takeaway at 19:38, the app showed it was due for delivery 20:50 -21:05 at 20:11 my receipt shows my food left the restaurant collected by the driver from Deliveroo , i clearly stated details to find my house on my order which apparently the restaurant do not pass to the driver , I then followed my food on the Nandos App all over Hanley , although there is a number to contact the driver the number doesn’t work ! At 21:39 after numerous attempts to direct the driver and a call to the restaurant my food turned up. I refused it and my partner contacted Nandos as we ordered directly and not through a sister company , after he got frustrated I decided to take the phone and spoke to a gentleman called Jordan ( who refused to give his full name or any further details ) , he advised that once the food has left the restaurant “ nothing to do with me “ !!! When I asked where the customer service was I got told again “ nothing to do with me “ , I was told to contact Deliveroo who would refund my money, when I asked for a number to contact them they don’t have one !!!
