John’s Bar & Restaurant Hanley — Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

Went here to meet a friend who came all the way from Birmingham but got lost her battery died when on the phone and she gave me this location to pick her up... I asked the one bouncer if I could go in and tell her I was there and he said no I explained the situation and he continued to get louder... I had just finished work so was very tired... Another bouncer came out and I tried to explain it to him for him to get VERY aggressive towards a female and beyond disturbing threatening behaviour simply because I said I do not want to leave her he was horribly intimidating and genuinely I've never felt anger like it as she was on her own and lost and surely their number one priority should be duty of care I said to them they can hold my hand and walk in and out my only priority was to find her but no he screamed and shouted in my face that bad bystanders got involved in my defence.... I run multiple bars and clubs in bigger cities and some within the area and I'd be DAMNED if I EVER hired door staff that treated not only a member of the public but A FEMALE like this.... Absolutely disgusting to the point I will not let this go.... I worry about anyone that's involved with this individual... Disturbing!!!! I'll be taking it further... A lot of fuss was caused over me just wanting to make sure my friend was safe.......

Dropped in on the off chance just as he was opening am from Manchester few months ago . Two meals curry mutton and curry chicken. Both 10/10 defo up their with the moss side carribean food. The sauce and rice consitetency was perfect I’d recommend anybody passing through to try this place we was made to feel welcome and got nice decor in the place perfect venue to start a night on the lash with ur mates. All spirits and beers you need available nice woman woman and John very hospitable pple don’t be put off going in no matter where you are from these pple wil welcome you av bin 3 times know johns food and hospitality never...
