parking eye so beware and reg your reg. Sunday menu has few options. main stream sodas such as fanta or tango not sold. ordered 2 x mocktails (two4five) no mango available for mine so had to have passion fruit.
cocktails came with paper straws so no single use plastic which is good however these paper straws are rarely recycled unless collected in bulk so meh... venue quite large and roomy with nice outdoor area. two4five means you get two of whatever you order so beware
starters. soup of the day work warm bread (no butter ? garlic mushrooms with two toast, again no butter and mushrooms were a little bland and lacked taste.
main course. cottage pie green Beans carrots and gravy.
presented well and the green beans and carrots wre well cooked, gravy was think enough and had taste. the cottage pie however was cool on the outside to cold on the middle, the mash and been seriously over salted. the bits of mince that were warm enough tasted ok. when I wa asked if it was ok the gent whizzed but without really taking notice but I didnt take offense at this he looked to be in the zone.
beef lasagne chips and salad.
no chips, huge portion of lasagne with a really strong cheese. white sauce appeared homemade and whist in thought it was ok my partner didnt really take to it. salad had a light oil dressing which didnt really add any flavour.

Read moreMy husband and I have been to the Noahs Ark a few times recently and it has been excellent. We have always been early in the week and so it has always been quiet. We have had amongst other things steak, salmon fishcakes and my husband especially likes the steak and ale pie. The presentation has always been excellent and the twice cooked chips lovely. We decided to go last Monday (10th) as it was Pie night. When we got there we sat at our usual table we asked the waitress about the pies and were told that that it was not pie night anymore as there were new owners and they had stopped all the night offers. We decided to stay and I had the Salmon fishcake and my husband had Steak and ale pie. When the food arrived although it was acceptable it wasn't a patch on before, the presentation looked like it had just been dumped on the plate where as before the veg was in a separate bowl and chips were in a basket. The chips were not twice cooked and were greasy and soggy. My salad was limp and not very fresh. Our first impressions of the new owners wasnt good, dont know but presume the chef has changed with the food looking so different. We will probably leave it a month or two before we go again to see...
Read moreThis is our second visit since the Noah's changed hands. Husband and wife run, the Noahs bar and restaurant now has stability and staff that genuinely care and welcome guests. They have ensured this is a friendly place, where families, couples and friends can enjoy time together and taste truly exceptional food. The Asian cuisine is beautifully made, the chef managing to blend spices yet retaining the individual taste of the ingredients. There are some dishes here that you won't find in other curry places in the area. There is a range of other dishes on the menu: pies, pasta, burgers and vegetarian, so something for everyone. The business is still being built up, we went on a wet Thursday and it was quiet. It gave us a chance to chat to the owners, who are passionate about making this place the community gem it once was. Good decor, plenty of space. Wine choice is limited and no real ales at the moment. The food and lovely staff are what make this a five...
