The Greyhound — Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

Currently in the greyhound pub, My concern was the personal hygiene and habits of the staff member that served me.

1st of all he wiped his hand across his nose and face and then transferred whatever he had managed to collect across his t-shirt then whilst waiting for the pump to be free he then ran his hands through his hair !!

After 13 years in a food environment and fully qualified in food and hygiene regulations to distinction level in food and haccp it was painfully obvious that this young chap should be trained that he needs to wash...

My declaration of mask exemption was met with a sigh of "fair enough" by the bar person. I was then asked what I would like to drink and served. 20 minutes later, what I can only assume was the landlord appeared to try to make me put on a mask whilst I was sitting drinking my pint! On reflection a mask would have probably been a good idea, due to the personal hygiene of the aforementioned bar person. Will not...

Really comfortable pub. Mike, the landlord knows his beers & always has a great selection of guests & Titanic favourites. Titanic Plum Porter is epic for anyone who hasn't tried it. Even better, if on (as it is a seasonal), is the Plum Porter Grand Reserve - @ 6.5% it's not for the faint hearted, but is arguably one of the best beers...
