Sapphire Fine Dining — Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

What a shame...... we went here tonight to book boxing day curry for a family of 18 and could not wait for this new fresh restaurant........ unfortunately we will not be making that booking,.....

Although.... My wifes green masala was nice (lamb soft)

my madras was very flat without any depth at all, I said to the waiter that my curry had no flavour and he shrugged his shoulders....why ask??..... Rice and nan bread standard....

Service was odd and the biggest problem.....

very fast the 1st 5 minutes of arriving...what drinks, what food??..... then nothing at all??..... to the point I had to go to the bar to pay my bill... no plates collected, no would you like more drinks?... nothing (we did not rush btw)15/ 20 minutes we waited after the food....

This place sells itself as a fine dining Indian restaurant!.... It's not... it's a bog standard curry in burslem at best!..... with very clean toilets!....

Sorry guys but 1st impressions count and you fell short by a long...

We booked a table for New Years Eve and to be honest I wished we had never bothered. From the moment we arrived it looked as though they didn't know what they were doing. We were seated eventually and not given any menus, after 20 minutes they were given to us and it then took them 30 minutes for them to come back to take the order. The poppadoms came fairly quickly but we waited far too long for the starters and mains to come and when they did they were not worth the wait, Tasteless, bland rubbish. For a party of three I dont expect to wait for 2 and a half hours to be fed. There were so many people complaining due to the long wait for food that people were walking out. I am sorry to say we will never...

We went for a family meal here after work on a Friday evening we took our baby so I was a bit worried about how he would behave as it was past his usual bed time. Luckily he behaved well and that is partly down to the staff who made him feel welcome and spoke to him when they went past. They were a great help.

The food here is unreal, absolutely delicious and super reasonably priced. The place itself has had a luxury make 9ver considering its previous lives as a Woolworths and poun stretcher, it feels modern and expensive. The crockery was all dudson so bonus points for that too.
