They give a lot of attention in beginners sessions and tend to have low instructor ratios. The routes are starting to be changed more often in the last few months. They have a large range of routes( that vary in difficulty) and the well textured walls give the walls a similar feeling to climbing on gritstone where smearing is always needed. The centres usually quite quiet giving you free reign to choose your climbs. Theres a community feel and the staff are nice and friendly. We took our eldest grandson here for a one to one session and were really impressed with the way he was encouraged to develop his skills through the different levels of climbing. Safety and security for the climbers was good and he was taught how to tie on and abseil down properly. Everyone was really friendly and supportive, what a great facility this is. We'll definitely be back with him and our other 2 grandsons next...
