Used to be fantastic curry, however has come under new ownership.

Overall, not a bad curry, but not great and certainly not to the same standard as before.

Poppadoms were slightly greasy, onion chutney was simply chopped onion, yoghurt sauce (which used to be fantastic) was green in colour and tasted awful.

Starters were different to before but actually quite tasty. Chicken Chat on Puree was very tasty.

The mains were disappointing. The Balti used to be very rich and flavoursome, but now seems bland and the texture was gritty. The Chicken Tikka was nice however the lamb was poor quality.

The chips were not the chunky chips cooked in ghee that we used to enjoy, and are now like takeaway fries.

On the whole, not a bad curry, but not the fantastic curry we've been used to in the past. For the first time in 20 years, we will be looking for a new...

Ordered on Christmas day evening. Most places on apps and websites said CLOSED, a few said OPEN... Indian Cottage being one of them! So I thought great, asked all the family, got the order together, placed the order online which all went through. Said my order would be delivered in 45 minutes. After we had been waiting for nearly 90 minutes I called the restaurant to be told it was closed. I then tried to explain that you need to sort your website out as we'd wasted nearly an hour and half waiting for food really hungry that was never going to arrive, for the person on the other end to rudely interrupt me again with "we are closed" and put the phone down on me!! Never been here before.....and WILL NEVER GO AGAIN! Unbelievably rude...

Our takeaway took 2 hours to turn up, which is understandable on Christmas eve so I wasn't too bothered! When we rang to see where it was they said it had been sent out but the driver had quite a few orders with him so he didnt know how long it would be, surely people's food is going cold sending so many out at once.

When our order arrived we were disappointed there was no poppadoms given with it, which we are often given by other takeaways. The butter chicken was absolutely drowning with butter, you could see a big pool of it on the top, and it just tasted oily. The makoni also had too much oil in.
