Usually I can go to McDonald's and rest assured it's always spotless clean. But unfortunately visited the one in Murton and was not up to normal standards. The table was dirty, but in there defence she cleaned it straight away when we went to sit down; And the toilets I'm sorry to say were filthy, both toilets were covered in excrement inside the toilet bowls and down the front of the bowl onto the floor and even onto the wall slightly. I know it's not staff's fault in a way, someone obviously had an upset stomach and failed to tell the staff, but maybe more regular toilet checks would be a suggestion maybe? But for both toilets to be like that was surprising. Again to there defence after told, poor girl went to clean them pretty much straight away. But cleanliness was not only problem, the signature burger was over cooked, to point bun was black. and the Big tasty was slightly under cooked. Not a good experience all round really. I would say the best McDonald's has to be Washington, they cook to perfection, Chips always out for correct time so always warm/hot and salted just right, others I have been too are way too salty, service is quick, staff are friendly and it's spotless every time I have been there, deserve some praise. Other McDonald's around me have few things that maybe could use looking at, cleanliness, food cold, usually the one on the way to Sunderland, or over cooked or in my experience that once, undercooked, should maybe take pointers...
Read moreFirstly I am not a regular at McDonald’s and after this experience I am pleased I have to say the whole experience was horrible from start to finish firstly it is like a chimpanzees tea party in there the place is chaotic and the standard of cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired we sat near the window and had to fight through customers and members of staff standing talking the latter a group of three soon joined by a fourth member of staff hiding where the trays are stored and proceeding with a tirade of abuse against their superiors so that everyone in their vicinity could here them firstly it is bad practice of the worst kind to do so but obviously the management do not care as they would have noticed four members of staff had disappeared all of this while the establishment was in dire need of a good clean lazy management gives you lazy standards quite simply put , and the food oh dear what is the fascination with McDonald’s we both got the plant based burger meal what a sad limp small cold uninspiring attempt at a meal it was it was shocking but as I looked around the normal standard of a meal it seems this was a one off and that is the way it will remain , so the outcome of the visit to McDonald’s is this what a complete waste of time from...
Read moreHas fallen from grace after this home delivery stuff took off. Have had to wait very long every time I've been recently (past year really, understandable to an extent because of COVID precautions but unusual compared to before) and generally always get cold food but this last time was the worst. Spent 40 minutes standing and waiting for a relatively small order - McChicken Sandwich meal + vegetable dippers and 2 apple pies - while Uber Eats drivers came and went with bags full of food, they kept stacking on those orders and ignoring the orders from people actually standing in their restaurant waiting to eat. The new way to pay at the til is also really needlessly complicated as a side observation. After 40 minutes my food comes and I'm told my apple pie is very hot, get in the car and hold it and it's lukewarm at best. Considering how I was repeatedly told my long wait was because they were preparing that pie, this felt like a kick in the teeth. Will probably just stick to KFC and Tim Horton's now to be honest. Disappointed and feel like that's £10 down the drain. Can't fault the staff though, they all do their jobs and well too considering what they have...
