We visited for breakfast with Santa today and it was lovely. The food was prompt, warm and tasty. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and so attentive with our 16 month old. Sarah served us and she was brilliant! The Santa was so friendly, coming over to greet us when we arrived and walking around to talk to all the children. One of the friendliest Santa's we've meet, there were no tears from our little one as she played peek-a-boo with Santa. Santa and Mrs Clause also looked so authentic, with lovely outfits. No cheap, rubbish santa polyester! Such good value as well, £9.99 for a children's breakfast, drink, meeting Santa in his grotto and a little goody bag to take away. The grotto area was also very cute. We'll happily make this an annual tradition with our little family.

I'm never normally negative about places I've visited, but I was saddened with this place as I went a long time ago (years) and have been back in the area awhile and thought we would go for dinner. Online booking was a breeze, but then you get 8+ text messages on the day to confirm you're coming. We always arrive early so we can enjoy a drink before our food and admittedly we like to space out nibbles starters main etc. Firstly, the waitress was the best part and did everything she could to help but we literally finished a salad bowl ( the salad bar is still amazing and the best thing about Harvester ) and our mains arrived after we had asked if we could delay the main for a bit, but it was literally there in 5 minutes or less. We asked for it to be taken back, and this upset the chef who left it on the side loudly, remarking that it would not be re cooked. We became aware from other diners as we are all sat so close that their meals were incorrect, under cooked, or not as described on the menu and all I can say is I've never heard a manager apologise so much. When the food was bought back to us, it had indeed been re cooked as thanks to other diners ordering similar food, our meals were re cooked. The food itself was good and value for money but the place itself is very worn out and needs a refurbishment urgently, the garden is huge and dog friendly but the litter and dogs mess bags lying around put you off being there. The garden itself is unkempt and in need of attention. The addition of ashtrays to the outside areas would be a good idea as between staff and customers there were cigarette butt's everywhere. The building is in dire need of repainting and drastic repair and cleaning. Staff wise, the young girl who served us and the lady who served other customers around us were very good and competent, but the young men serving need to possibly get training in customer service as referring to people as "mate" when they are old enough thier fathers or grandparents is not polite. The other fascinating issue is the lack of awareness by staff that they can be heard when in the rear courtyard discussing customers and their comments again are not polite.

We thought we’d give this place one more chance, but my god we shouldn’t have. The last 3 times, over an HOUR AND A HALF for food!! Ordered a kids bbq chicken and it came out cremated and inedible. Had to be sent back, we were told 20 minute wait but was well over an hour and a half, the manager didn’t seem proactive about addressing customers or tables to see if anyone needed anything or to explain the delay, he simply just stood behind the bar waiting for the next customer to get annoyed with the lack of management and ludicrous waiting times. We were regulars, once a week, now we won’t come back. The food took so long to come out that my partner had actually lost his appetite by the time it came out, same as myself, rendering this a waste of money. My son, got restless and I had to keep nagging the staff, had I not asked it would have been longer! Over and hour and a half for a child to wait for a small chicken fillet and some chips, it was obvious they had just been left on the hot plate. I mean really?! There was a useless cover manager last time so we thought we’d give it one more go, but the current manager seems to be just as clueless. The whole place is chaos with no structure or organisation, with no idea who’s ordered what at what time and people just complaining. The whole evening we heard complaint after complaint. I’m sorry to write this but seriously, the old supervisor Tania did a better job than the manager and his wife alone. Absolutely diabolical and won’t be returning. Such a shame as use to be a lovely place to come. I hope this helps someone not have the same experience and that maybe this will be read and change will be made… sadly not so hopeful. No apology, discount or voucher offered either. Salad looked like it had set there for a few days to be honest. The coleslaw looked as if it was about to walk off by itself. Overall, I would have to say to avoid. Sorry harvester.

Totally unedible from start to finish. Insanely burnt starters, stone cold and late mains with very poor salad. Main courses took over an hour and it wasn’t busy. Both my steak and my wife’s chicken stone cold, we sent them back and 10 mins later my replacement arrived, warm steak, cold chips, cold mushrooms, cold peas. Promises of my wife’s replacement chicken kept coming, in the end we gave up and said we didn’t want it. This on top of tired old salad, dirty windows, dirty radiators and our starter potatoes skins which were burnt to a crisp (with cheese but no bacon bits, which were promised). Nice enough people. Same harvester menu. I am sure they will have an excuse but it doesn’t matter, 100% we won’t be going back. In all the years we have used the harvester in west byfleet we have never experienced this.

My partner and I visited last night and were seated immediately. Our orders were taken swiftly and then no sooner and we visited the infamous 'salad bar' our dinners had arrived. Whilst we appreciated the quick service we did soon see that the necessary care was not taken. If you refer to the pictures attached you can see the significant difference in chicken pieces despite us both having the same dinner. Also take a look at the added seasoning for the chips. There was enough for 12 more plates. We did bring both of these issues with our waitress and she did find the quickest resolution that suited all parties. I have to say the Harvester brand has been on a steady decline for years now but this is the last remaining Harvester in close proxemity that I would visit.

As soon as we have arrived we had to wait for meet n greet person for 10 min and then as soon as we had our table we have waited for 2 mains (fish n chips and rack of ribs) for 55 min which is absolutely unacceptable. When I went there to find out they came with a silly excuse: “if you have ordered starters then as soon as starters been served to table then we start to prepare food after that” which doesn’t make any sense as everyone else was served on time and there was half empty and bot busy at all. Unsatisfactory.
