Muffin Break — Restaurant in Surrey Heath

The first thing I would say is that hygiene is questionable. Me and my wife went in to buy a Terrys Chocolate Orange milkshake after seeing it advertised in the window and we both regret buying it. Went in and was greeted with staff members chatting at the till. Placed my order and the guy serving told the young girl who was making the drinks what we wanted which was the milkshake without cream. The young girl proceeded to make the milkshake and my wife was watching her make the milkshake without washing her hands after making the last drink. The girl whilst making the milkshake for us took out her chewing gum from her mouth and wiped her hand on her apron then carried on making the milkshake (sink was right next to her to wash her hands). The funny thing is the girl looked our way to see if we noticed and my wife was already looking right at her and the girl made no eye contact right after. The girl asked twice if we wanted cream with our milkshake even though she was told at the start by her colleague we did not want cream. The advertised milkshake does not in any way resemble what was served to us (image attached). Very small, it was extremely watery, topped up with milk, doesn't taste anything like Terrys Chocolate Orange and to top it off cost us exactly £5.10. Safe to say it went straight in the bin after we had one sip each. Could have got a Costa which will be bigger and so much nicer for less than what this company charged. I wish I can review my experience with 0 star, I am not the type to leave a review unless the experience is not the worst one out there. I normally go to this coffee shop and enjoy my time and their coffee but on Friday 28th of Feb around 1000 I visited to enjoy a cup of coffee and relax after my walk. I specifically ordered vanilla latte; the order took a while so I waited and asked nicely if the coffee that was sitting there was mine, the girl said I’m making it now. I apologised then went back to my seat. The second photo is what my coffee looked like which is very poor and the taste is really bad as well. I tried to just drink it but I noticed that there’s no vanilla on it and I asked if they just forgot to put it on my drink, the other girl told me you didn’t order with vanilla, I said nicely that I have. And she took my drink without saying anything and just poured a lot of vanilla on my really bad coffee. By far the worst experience ever, the staff, service and the coffee.

I rate the guys that works here 5* though because they’re very good at making coffees and their customer service...

My daughter and I visited yesterday, something we nearly always do when on a shopping trip in Camberley. Unfortunately it was not a good experience None of the staff were wearing masks, one young lady had her hair dangling all over the place and not once did we see anyone wash their hands, all of this I conveyed to the manager. His response was to say it wasn't compulsory for them to wear masks even though all the customers had them on in the queue and while moving around the cafe. As someone who has worked in a healthcare setting throughout the pandemic I believe the least this manager and his staff could do is protect their customers by the simple wearing of a mask, and basic hand hygiene. Needless to say I will not be visiting again and suggest that anyone who wants to stay safe thinks twice about using this cafe until these things have...
