Whilst having a few days break in Dawlish Warren, we took our usual walk along the sea wall to Dawlish, after having a bite to eat and a coffee in a local cafe, we decided to to carry on where we left off and carried on along the sea wall past the railway station. We hadn't been to this end of Dawlish before, and after a ten minute ramble and going past the tunnel carved into the red sand and shale cliff that carries the south west railway line we came upon Coryton Cove, it was quite delightful and different to the sandy gravely beach we had recently passed by. Here is a beach area adorned with sandy patches and rock pools and boulders washed daily by the tide. As you walk along the prominard you'll see many brightly coloured beach huts, all lined up to attention, and many were in use while we were there. The highlight for me was The Cove Cafe, on the end of the prom, this is a small business with outside seating, giving great views along to Dawlish and out to sea. We had a tea and coffee and sat a while doing a spot of people watching, and just letting the world go by. The menu carries a good range of hot and cold snacks, much of which are all homemade, all in all, quite delightful and would recommend. ps if you find this review helpful, please...

Read moreThe best pizza I have ever eaten. This is not an exaggeration. I was there with my family cousins and auntie. We went to the Cove for a nice walk along the beach to find a true Italian pizza that was exceptional. The kids enjoyed the margaritas. As the adults enjoy their olive and anchovy along side 2 pepperoni pizzas. If your into the beach and pizza I highly recommend visiting the cove cafe maybe for a romantic date or family meal by the sea. This is a true gem of Devon I highly...
