Selection of ice creams is impressive BUT not labeled and the lad thought it a laugh that nobody had put the labels out.... Anyway they tasted OK. Following a stroll we decided to ha ve a drink, that was a mistake, bearing in mind we were a party of 4 oaps, one on crutches, two with limited mobility, one partially sighted with white stick and yet the 3 youngsters insisted we went to the counter to order the drinks and carry them to the table! As it was the partially sighted person that ordered and paid at the counter we were gobsmacked that when asked none of them would carry the 2 trays to the table despite being asked and when it was pointed out that he was carrying a white stick and couldn't do it they just laughed at him and carried on chatting with a cursory 'we don't do that'! So folks if you want help or are expecting service DO NOT GO HERE, To the owner, train your staff your prominanant position does not guarentee you business, your staff are a shambles and need constant supervision, your ice creams need labels, your tables and chairs need to be kept clean and clear. To the staff, you are being paid to provide a service, either give it or get out where others who have a clue, manners and disability awareness could do so far better than your idle condescending attitude and attempts, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this...
Read moreOMG What can possibly go wrong with a typical cup of tea? answer Everything when you go to this restaurant, an I use the word very loosely Apart from the fact that it is being run by staff who are to be quite frank barely over the employing age I did not see what their food hygiene rating it had but if it was higher than a 1 I would be very shocked. The public toilet opens out to full view of the eating area, which I believe is illegal. I was under the impression that there had o be two doors before the toilet can be seen in a restaurant. My tea was served to me as follows Tray Metal tea pot Small jug of milk 2 mugs Small pot of water (what this was for I do not know) When I asked the girl said that it was to top the tea pot up, might I suggest that they fill the pot first and there would be no need Defoe a little jug of hot water. I had to go back to the counter to ask for some sugar and a teaspoon, when a boy shouted out to the girl "you need to start giving out teaspoon when you serve tea
So as you can see a lot can go wrong with a cup of tea. I would recommend that you give this venue a wide berth and visit one of the many other decent venues tha this beautiful town has to offer. This place cheapens a beautiful resort in Devon. WORD OF ADVICE TO ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH IN THE COUNTY YI NEED TO REVIEW THS ESTABLISHMENT AND ISSUE AN...

You get such a generous portion, you will defiantly not go home hungry that's for sure. For what you pay, you get a lot! Compared most chip shops in the area, It's so fair priced. I always tend to get cheesey chips, the cheese tastes so good! It's amazing to relax after a long day at work, with delicious chips, gorgeous views of either the beach looking out to sea, in the park with the black swans and ducks. Beware of the seagulls, always gather a lovely crowd of hungry birds! Just be careful and cover the chips as much as you can! I highly recommend their sausages too, they are so good! Nothing beats some delicious chips by the seaside! I love doing it here and there, it's nice! The staff are nice!
