Geo's Fishbar — Restaurant in Tendring

This is one of the worst fish and chips shop in Clacton. Their services is disaster and food quality is worst too. It was my first time in this restaurant and it was last time too because they don’t know how to give good customer services at all. Food was quite expensive then other fish and chips shop in Clacton. The amount of money I paid to them then if I could buy same portion from other restaurants then I could save £5 more . I am not worried about money but I always make sure that I get services. Food wasn’t cook well and portion was small too but they need more training how to talk to the customer. There were 2 guys and one girl and all of them were staring on me and talking nonsense and also at the same time they were laughing so loudly . One of the guy was a bit rude for nothing . I won’t recommend to go there. Don’t waste your money here. There are a lot of other fish and chips restaurants in Clacton and they are good. Reply to the owner : You are an arrogant owner. Instead of apology you are defending. I’m not a drunk person that I will give review without knowing your business. It doesn’t matter you have a girl staff or not but there was a girl behind your till. You are saying that staff has more then 5 years experience but your staff services zero. Hadn't been for a while. Fancied some fish and chips and alot of people keep recommending. Staff were very polite and welcoming. Outside of the shop is very clean and well presented. Inside clean, tidy. Front area had people eating and was cleaned up straight away when they finished. I didnt go to the back seating area but there were quite a few people back there. I had a 2 large cod and a large chips. Waited about 10 mins (cooked fresh). Came to £36 and some pence. Got back to the pier to eat and the code was huge! Size of a person's head lol. Chips were nice. Unfortunately the batter was well over done. It was inedible sadly. It was burnt and I had to just peel it off as it was far too chewy. Whether that's how they do it, I can't say but being the main part of the meal I felt I lost out. Although that was the only negative for me that's a huge negative and due to timings, kids etc I just couldn't go back. Would I have gotten a refund? I don't know. I may try it again I'm not sure. I usually try and go back to places to see if that experience is different from the last. Hopefully if I do go back I can enjoy my whole meal (batter included.) We came down for a day trip to Clacton and as unfamiliar with area googled for a good fish and chip restaurant. We decided to try yours as was highly recommended which we passed onto our waitress as we sat down.We both ordered the cod special at £14.95 each with baked beans as an extra for one of us.Unfortunately when it arrived although it looked lovely I was very disappointed at the actual size of fish inside the batter.I brought it to the attention of the waitress and she very kindly changed it.However our teas were a different matter,when we had drunk our teas we both looked inside our mugs and there was a dreadful mess left inside and it looked like scum around the inside of both mugs.Again I brought it to the attention of your staff,it was a man clearing the tables and said I think you may need to do something about your tea he looked at me and asked me what the problem was after I showed him both the mugs and he asked us what he was looking at,I showed him the inside of the mugs and his reply was "We use PG Tips tea bags".I have never drunk a cup of tea before and had remains like we had today.Unfortunately our experience today did not live up to...
