SAPPHIRE DINING — Restaurant in Tewkesbury

Great service, great food, great time!

My Wife and I were lucky enough to attend the relaunch as Sapphire and we were both thoroughly impressed with both the food and the new decor which added a quite lavish feel.

Lobster and lamb chops to start, although my lobster was amazing, nicely seasoned and cooked very well, I still found myself with food envy for the lamb chops. It had been quite a few years since I'd had lamb chops as memorable as the ones my better half ordered tonight and let me try (I'd have probably kept them for myself had I ordered them)

For mains we had the lamb naga which had the perfect balance of heat and aroma, the lamb just melted in the mouth, as tender as could be, we also had the chicken Shashlik which was more suited to milder curry fan but no less flavourful.

To accompany the delicious mains we had mushroom rice, although simple, it had care taken to elevate into a standout dish on its own, the saag paneer was a lovely little addition and we've finally found cheesy naan that has a cheese pull to satisfy.

10/10 will...

We were intrigued by the design and the unusual menu.

Firstly I have to say how friendly the staff were, extremely polite and courteous. Took the time to have a conversation with us and helpful with the food choices.

The decor is modern and cosy, nicely laid out, extremely clean and well presented.

The food was impressive to say the least, I opted for a curry dish which was very tasty, good portions sizes all round and delivered to our table in a timely manner. I was particularly impressed by the naans being light, fluffy and packed full of flavour. I also tried some of the other dishes and was equally as impressed.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant for it's variety and flavour.

We switched to Crystal Rivers about 6 months ago. Tbh we enjoy the food but this evenings shenanigans has left us wondering if we are to continue to order our weekly take outs from this establishment . We had a dinner party this evening and the food arrived 45 minutes early. We turned food away as the party had not even arrived. When the delivery was made at the correct time we quickly served up only to find out that the dishes were barely warm thus meaning we had to microwave. Far from ideal as we can only presume it was the original order which had been left standing awaiting re-delivery. Called restaurant to explain and basically they were unsympathetic so we calmly explained that we would be leaving a review which didn’t even phase them. Tewkesbury Rajshahi / Naz….we are coming...
