Kinda weird. Doorman was refusing entry to anyone unless he could see their ID. Allegedly because ā€œif anything happens, I know who you areā€. An off putting and confrontational way to treat customers - if this is a management choice, why would you want to reduce potential custom - in this economy?

I donā€™t routinely carry ID since most things I do on my phone, and being in my 40s I absolutely donā€™t look underage.

Thankfully, a bar two doors down had no such arbitrary requirements and were more than happy to let us...

Totally groovy establishment next to Margate Lido serving craft beers and more. When I visited they were playing about just the best music I've heard played in any bar (for my personal taste, anyway) - John Cale, Beefheart, Zappa, Wire, Modern Lovers, Can, Hawkwind, Stereolab, Durutti...

This place is so unique. Candles and incense sofas a dance floor and the DJ was fantastic with such an eclectic taste of music. It was awesome to have so many fantastic dancers on the dance floor I will be going back and I will most definitely recommend this place to every1...
