Mama Jinny Thai Kitchen is Thai comfort food at its finest. Eating here was definitely one of the best decisions we made while we were in Margate. The place was clean and well-lit. The decor transported us to Thailand. :) It's about five minutes walk from Margate Main Sands. The staff were friendly and attentive. They also reminded me of family-owned restaurants back at home where you can just feel so comfortable. The food was just absolutely wonderful. They did not skimp on the ingredients. Our Tom Yum seafood soup was full of yummy seafood and mushrooms. The Pork Pad Khing was also very tasty and the vegetables were cooked perfectly and not soggy at all. We also had mango with sticky rice for dessert. Now this dessert is a definite must-try in any Thai restaurant, especially at Mama Jinny. It was just so delectable. It was not overly sweet. Just the perfect way to end the meal. The only thing I was disappointed about was that I got too full too soon... I wanted to eat more and to try their other dishes. The price is reasonable for the quality of the food. This is now in our "Must Eat Here list" when in Margate

Honestly the best Thai food I’ve tasted and I’ve been all over Thailand! All the food is homemade from scratch including the pad Thai sauce and all the currys and there is a real family vibe about the place. I went for pad Thai, green curry, fish cakes and spicy sausage as well as sticky rice which is really hard to find in the UK. There’s such a depth of flavour in all the dishes that you just don’t get from regular places and you can tell that they really care about the quality and presentation of the food here. Best meal I’ve had in a long time and I can’t recommend this place enough!!!

We went here as a large party of 9. It is a small restaurant which feels like a family-run establishment. Food was delicious and the staff were so lovely and kind. I loved my prawn tom yum and fillet duck salad (the latter was delicious but a bit too spicy). We really enjoyed our meal here. Service was a bit slow but that's not the staff's fault, they were very very busy with diners as well as takeaway orders on a bank holiday. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I was also very pleased to see that the owner and all the staff were female!

We have ordered from this Thai takeaway on two occasions now. Once was about 4 months ago and again recently. The food was poor the first time round, but we thought they might be having an off day and were worth trying again. Ordinarily, we much prefer Thai to other take aways as it doesn’t seem quite as unhealthy. Food- Tom Yum contained huge chunks of regular white onion, a total of X2 cherry tomatoes (cut in half) and nothing else. Dim Sum was revolting- stodgy and swimming in a pool of water. Pad Thai did not contain any veg! In the current climate, a take away is a treat and this was a massive disappointment. Additionally, in my opinion, businesses should make an effort to attract and retain customers with good quality ingredients. Unfortunately, after two bad experiences we will not be...

We ordered from their website tonight and it took over 1.5 hours to arrive, 40 minutes later than they had said it would arrive despite being 1 mile away. When it arrived there was no cashew nuts in the chicken & cashew nuts (they admitted was their mistake), the beef in the gaeng massaman was inedible and it didn't taste like it normally does (we've lived in Thailand for over 40 years). The Tom kha was tasty but that was the only saving grace. When we kept trying to call to ask where the delivery was they all of a sudden couldn't hear us and when I asked for a refund for the incorrect dish they hung up on me. I wouldn't normally write a review but want others to be aware as was a real disappointment especially since we only have takeaway for...
