Margate Museum — Attraction in Thanet

I wish they could get funding....it's a brilliant little gem, with masses of history, knowledgeable guides and assistants. It's just that it needs a smart revamping of signage and displays. It's in the heart of the town and has a wealth of information about every aspect. The cells on the ground floor are cram packed with pictures and information, the passages are crowded with more, the stairs up-to the court room packed with pictures and texts. The court room itself has information on everything from archaeological pit excavations to suffragettes and Cobb's Brewery. Give them money for a proper museum building and leave this place as a historic Police Station and Court Room. Otherwise very interesting, I'm just trying to be helpful and...

The Margate Museum is a wonderful local history museum (the building of the Old Town Magistrates Court and the Police Station).
