St Lawrence Tandoori Takeaway — Restaurant in Thanet

Had people over for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We ordered at 5.30 as soon as they opened and was told 40 mins. After and hour and 10 we called to be told they were busy and it was on the way! Another half an hour later still nothing so called back they were quite rude and just saying they was busy!! Which isn’t really an excuse. But told it was on way again. Another 20 mins still nothing. By this time we’re fuming and was told they had done to the incorrect address even though they knew the post code. I called back and said this was unacceptable and all they kept saying was they are busy 😡. I asked if we was getting any discount as we had spent £75. He replied £3 jokers. Well the food arrived after 2 hrs and 5 mins. To which we paid £50. The food was average not much flavour and the 12 popadoms we ordered were 2 smashed ones. Visited as a close by Indian and I was impressed. Found some car parking a couple of minutes walk away. There is a small bar and waiting area at the far end of the restaurant where you can order a take away. Menu is fairly priced, took about 20 mins for the food to be prepared. There was a nice Indian smell and the background sound was at an acceptable level. Lighting was relaxed, with coloured LED's giving a good atmosphere. The take away was good quality, Chicken was nicely cooked, and flaked when put under pressure, rice was very nice. My normal of chicken naga was spot on, good taste, sauce was thick and they passed the food allergen questions with ease. I will defiantly be back...

We have not been for many years after moving away. We had booked a week before or visit, when we got there staff were not very welcoming! They didn't listen to us when we said we had booked a table, no staff bothered to look in a diary! We were given a table that was in the main walkway from thw kitchen and two of our party were 'in the way' the whole evening. Staff seemed to be confused whilst we ordered drinks OR food.
