I don’t often leave low reviews, however I feel that this place needs to hear it. About 11 of us came in for Mother’s Day lunch, we ordered a selection of starters, which strangely all came at different times. The portion sizes were quite small as well, for example we had fried tofu which was literally one tofu sliced into a four pieces and made to look even smaller because of the large plate. Then came the Thai dumplings, which were 4 tiny pre-frozen pieces for £5.50! We also had the Tom kha soup, which was too sweet and had zero spice to it. Overall then, not a good start. Then came the mains - we ordered a selection of curries, rice dishes and a couple of Pad Thais. Four of the curry dishes had to be returned because there was enough salt in them to cause all slug species to become extinct. The Pad Thais both came at different times and tasted completely different - one was bland, the other was far too salty. The one good thing worth mentioning and prevents this place from getting 1 star, is that the staff and manager were very nice and didn’t charge us for the dishes returned plus gave us an additional 20% discount on the rest of the bill. To sum up, it appears that there needs to be better communication between the waiters/waitresses and the kitchen to address the timings of dishes coming out. They also need to ensure that the chefs actually taste their food, as it just looks like there are different people in there cooking to their...

Up until today this was my favourite restaurant and I am devastated that I won't be able to enjoy their Tom yum soup again. To cut a long story short my daughter suffered an allergic reaction to a dish which we discussed with the waitress and confirmed on the menu as not containing any of my daughter's allergies. The initial staff response, when I alerted them to the fact, was a little too laid back for my liking so I asked to speak to the manager. The chef appeared from the kitchen and from offset she was extremely defensive and then rude in later stages of the conversation. She was followed by the owner who did make a genuine attempt to try and understand what had caused the allergic reaction, however he was extremely focused by the idea that she was allergic to something we aren't aware of and again adamant that no blame could possibly lie with him or his kitchen. I can honestly say that we were not looking for compensation or a quick free meal , I just think that if one of them could have apologised and recognised the possibility that they got something wrong in the kitchen it would have been enough to put my mind at ease. The denial and constant chatter on repeat from the owner and additionally the rudeness of the head Chef were very disappointing. Bottom line - If you have an allergy, sadly this restaurant is probably not...

I had an exceptional dining experience at Thai Village Restaurant And Bar, thanks to the warm hospitality and delicious food provided by owner John and his wife. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by John, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome by offering us a complimentary shot. Despite the restaurant being busy, John took the time to ensure that we were well taken care of throughout our visit.

The food, prepared by John's wife, was nothing short of amazing. It was evident that each dish was made from scratch with care and attention to detail. The flavors were authentic and the presentation was impeccable, truly showcasing the skill and dedication that goes into every meal.

What struck me the most was the affordability of the dishes, considering the exceptional quality and taste. Thai Village Restaurant And Bar offers a culinary experience that is not only delicious but also budget-friendly, making it a standout choice for dining out.

Overall, my visit to Thai Village Restaurant And Bar was a delightful one, marked by exceptional service, delectable food, and an inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you to John and his team for providing such a wonderful and...

Had an amazing second meal here last night.. We didn't book but staff was very very welcoming and friendly. We got seated in a cosy booth. The owners were there (who i now know are Wayne and nam) both lovely people ! Talked us though the menu and made us feel super comfy. Drinks came quickly and food shortly after. The food was and is absolutely delicious! The quality of the meat and fish in our dishes was A* ...tender ...juicy...flavoursome! We had salt pepper squid ( to die for) Chicken massaman ( full of gorgeous chicken pieces) cashews and potato ...really really delicious! Hubby had the chilli crispy duck ...heaven ! So tender but with that that lovely crisp. It was all cooked to perfection. This is my second visit. My first was with a friend and again was phenomenal. I had a couple of takeaways when these guys was in ramsgate. Could never fault it. I would highly recommend and cannot wait to visit again. Weekdays are quieter (goes without saying) Westwood Cross is really lucky to have a decent restaurant with fresh locally sourced, home cooked food. None of that microwave slop. Thankyou guys ! We had a lovely evening.

I love a Thai Green, so I thought my partner and I could have a cheeky one for lunch. They have a wide variety a foods all vegetarian with the option to add meat or fish, this is the same for the starters and the sides too. They also have a 2 for 15 on cocktails (on all cocktails bar 2), the staff are welcoming, friendly and the service was top notch. They were cooking the mains whilst we were finishing our starters, all cooked fresh and all placed in their own dishes. You can either have your own or share as plates are given to you separately. 10/10 will definitely be coming back here. Edit: Came here for my birthday (11/10), and honestly, the food was just excellent 👌🏼 also the owner of Thai Village came with a tray of complimentary shots (even one for herself!). The service here is soo good and again. 10 out of 10 would definitely come here again.

I've always enjoyed the food as takeaway, but I ate in the other day. I was seated promptly, but then tables of 4 and 5 who were sat after me had their order taken before mine (I was one person). Between finishing my meal, I waited a short while, but after desert I was left waiting for nearly 15 mins before a other waitress came and spoke to me. I also smiled at an older waitress who asked the table behind me how everything was, but then seemed almost offended when I smiled at her and she never said a word. I was potentially the only table not checked up on and did not feel too welcome there. It was early evening and not many tables were in, not even half the place was sat when I was in. The food was good, but service was slow and I did not feel too comfortable with them
