Went there as part of a wedding party for a meal. Bride phoned day b4 asking to put some bits on the table ie silver confetti jest a sprinkle, was told yes feel free to bring them in and they will do it. When we got there they never dressed table with bits taken in for them, but was told the confetti can't be put out due to health wearing ie someone could choke on them lol, bride was upset as was told by them it's OK and then once we got there told they can't. It wouldn't of done harm to of notified bride and Groom b4 we all got there that they can't do it. Especially after saying its OK. Surely ppl can choke on there food or drinks but that's OK. Then one of my Grandkids fell in the play area going up steps that was slippery. Yes two members of staff was good and helped out and asking if we wanted to put it in the accident book, also that the steps get slippery when wet. So if that's the case like the confetti why don't they say no kids can't go out on the play area. Lastly my steak was tough as boots, not medium at all but strangely rare at one end going into well done as I worked towards the centre, steak had strange taste, pepper corn sauce didnt taste of pepper at all it was tasteless hardly any melted cheese over the top, everyone that had onion rings found they was cold. My son pointed out the onion rings and I must admit was offered to get more for him but he said forget it. I was going to complain about my steak but didn't want to upset bride and make my son the groom feel that things went bad on their day. Around only 75% of the meal was nice. Bar staff almost didn't want to help with problems and when asking them something they seemed miserable and lack of smiling. Would of thought some members of staff would of been better and food better to help make wedding party feel happier as it costs nothing. Customers came to congratulate bride and groom not one staff member did on arrival. Your replies state that things will change so hope it's better for when ppl come back, yet most of the same complaints have been written back a year ago so no chance at all. You really let the bride and groom down worth the money if enjoyed it, but in this case it wasn't worth the money as food wasn't that good. Such a shame as building is nice inside but some staff and kitchen staff let's it down majorly. Genuine...

Nice place, i enjoyed my evening and facilities were clean, chose this place as a goto for a works do did not want something too fancy or too expensive thought it was ok, reasonable for prices. Had the cheeseburger burger with bacon, was ok and filling,( i swerved the big burger with chicken as to me that just seemed a bit strange!? ether a wimpy olympic burger, or mixed grill in a bun in style i guess, not sure what they are trying to do there 😆? most the lads ordered it tho and they did enjoy it) but not a patch on a bacon XL from the B king, felt like just normal buns toasted instead of the brioche would have been much better👍. The chicken strips with the texan bbq was top notch! Very good flavour in the sauce, surprised me, put the left over sauce in the burger 👍👍👍. It reminded me of that Mop BBQ sauce that asda used to sell that, unfortunately disappeared of the planet, shame. Was a bit disappointed with the starter i had as it said had mayo dip, but it did not come with it when it arrived at table. I asked my server for my dip and was handed a bottle of mayo instead from nearby table, just pure laziness i thought and not a great attitude, not sure it it was meant to have a different mayo sauce with it (garlic mushrooms ?) Desert was good had the cheese cake, quite sickly tho after a big burger.

Ordered food through the app took like 1 min to set up 👍👍. Unfortunately later on a mistake was made buy someone else in the pub ordering to our table by mistake and two drinks were delivered that none of us ordered and later on a portion of food, unfortunately the young female waiter took a sour opinion with us for the rest of the eve, as if the group was mucking about on the app, (we did notice the big sigh btw, and not our fault!) we returned the drinks to the bar for her as we expected they were for a different table.

Beer wise the pub ran out of at least two bottles of different brands that our group was drinking guess they had a heavy afternoon before us or perhaps bad stocktaking, it was a sat night? at least 2 other options were also unavailable 😑🤷‍♂️

Overall had a good evening and we all would comeback, missing out on a four star due to staff who just seemed to not want...

We booked a table in advance to make sure we had a proper seat, but when we arrived, there were no tables available despite our reservation. We were told we could either share a table with other guests or sit at the bar—exactly what we were trying to avoid by booking ahead.

We ordered through the app, which initially stated the food would be ready in 25 minutes. Our starter arrived fairly quickly, but the wait for our main course dragged on. The app then updated to advise a 45-minute wait—however, that time came and went with no sign of our meal.

We had somewhere to be, so we eventually had to go and cancel our order. When we mentioned this to the staff, the person behind the bar checked with the kitchen, and suddenly our food was “ready to come out.” After waiting an hour and 20 minutes, this was incredibly frustrating. Unfortunately, we had run out of time and had to send it back.

We did have a few drinks during our visit, which were served promptly. However, my husband ordered a non-alcoholic cider and only realised it was alcoholic after he’d started drinking it. Mistakes happen, but this one could have been serious. Thankfully, he can have alcohol—but I can't due to medical reasons, so it’s not a risk we take lightly. Extra care and vigilance are really important in cases like this.

We really felt for the staff, as they were clearly rushed off their feet and doing their best under pressure. That said, we received no proper apology and ended up leaving with only a plate of sharing nachos to fill our stomachs, not exactly ideal when someone has been mistakenly served alcohol.

Overall, a disappointing experience with multiple let-downs. Hopefully just an off night, but it’s not one we’d...
