Customer service was great but what failed was the qaulity of the food and the cleanning side of things.

New veg (carrots, pots etc came out from the kitchen) and placed on the hot line.. and then the old veg was just dumped on top..

So youve then got veg that has possibly been out for 2/3 hours.. on top of the fresh nice veg..

On top of that, not only the meat & veg but also the gravy section... dirt everywhere.. food debris... next time.. i will be takong pictures...

And i dont know if its just this one or all tobys but the "chef" carving the protien needs to listen and not give thin layers of meat to customers .. i will be taking this further because the quanutity and quality of the meat section was shocking.. i didnt think to take pictures but next time i will ..

Plates and cutlery...

A very nasty and unpleasent feel under the plates, i spoke to a staff member and she said "sorry, were having issues with our dishwasher" ... sure if thats a fact, leave the plates in soak for 5/10 minutes then clean them? Its not rocket science...

And lastly... deserts...

What we had wanted was not available, also we werent made aware of this until we had sat down...

Toby for me is becoming similiar to a macdonalds...

Fast service, fast turn around...

No quality control.. No custoner service..

I give this a 3 star for the reason bieng it was close by and had plenty of seats available...

Which is why im so confused as to why the meat, veg and the gravy section was covered in bits of food and dirt...

I will wait for a response from the management team before taking...

We were a party of four adults and a one year old, booked well in advance a window table and highchair. On arrival, a little early, the receptionist told us that our table was still in use but as the party had been well over an hour, they would probably be nearly ready to go, so we said, fine we'll wait. Fifteen minutes after our booking the receptionist returned to tell us that the other party were only just ordering desserts, he could show us two other tables, so as we had a toddler in our party we accepted a small table by a window. We ordered starters, mains and desserts, only to be disappointed that there was no Christmas pudding left, this was the festive menu, so my husband settled for apple pie, the first dessert l ordered was off and the next! Iasked for an alternative and the waitress came back and said that l could only have what was left available on the menu , l was not happy and so she then had a word with her senior and returned offering me dessert from the regular menu so l had cheesecake, very nice . My husband was really upset as he was looking forward to Christmas pudding not apple pie. One comment on my Salmon Wellington, the salmon was dry. We have had the festive menu twice before at this restaurant without any complaints, this time a little disappointiing not a festive menu if there's no Christmas pudding!! Staff were polite...

I took my best friend, and his kids, my treat, just got back from a month abroad, it was sooo busy, had to wait for our booking, and once finally seated the queue was massive, but we British, we love a queue haha, but what I did notice (btw I'm a regular here, come all the time for dinner and delicious cheesecake) I noticed that this was the busiest ive ever seen, but the food just kept coming out, 10 people later and dish was empty, then more brought out, so basically what I'm saying is, the food was all fresh and pipping hot, absolutely delicious 😋 most of visits I come 2pm or 4pm midweek alone, and some items are hot, some warm, some look like sat around all afternoon, this visit was 7pm, fresh fresh fresh, hot hot hot 🔥 definitely worth the waiting, and now im considering future visits, maybe being booked in a busy period, the staff always running around like headless chickens, working hard, always clean any tidy, the only downside was the parking situation, people up on grass, parked in random places, I know with the new number plate reader, inside the continue button is just above exit button and I actually got a ticket because thought I had entered plate number when infact I deleted, but with the crazy parking outside, who would that get monitored, does everyone get a ticket that isn't in a actual parking bay 🤔 thats a worry, don't make same...
