The Britannia — Restaurant in Thanet

We stayed one night in deluxe room with sea view. Very spacious and comfortable room with big bathroom. All renovated and clean. Great breakfast cooked to order. Breakfast was included. Staff friensly and attentive. Free car park. Free wifi. Complementary drink included in the room price. Big packet of biscuits in the room with a lot of coffee available to make in the room. Great experience. I think Margate is underestimated as a place to visit. We had a great time outside of the busy season. There is a lot of nice places to eat out. And place is free from McDonald's KFC etc. I only saw one Costa here. And we loved it. Brittania is a family business and you get family...

Stayed at The Britannia overnight whilst in Margate for a gig. It's a very cosy, casual, music themed bar which hosts local bands and has a great dukebox! Our room was lovely, bright and clean, and had everything we needed. This place is just super friendly, Paul and his girls could not have made us feel more welcome, they went out of their way to look after us. Pub was nice but one member of staff in particular had a disgusting attitude towards me, I had never been to that pub before so didn't know my toddler wasn't allowed in after half seven, i was at a friend's party which started at half seven but a member of staff spoke to me like something on her shoe informing me of the pubs policy. It's a shame because it's a nice pub but won't be going there again to be spoken...
