The Tap Room — Restaurant in Thanet

A few friends and I headed in last weekend to meet some people in there for a drink after we had been to (the incredible) Fish Friday's at Cliffs to be met by an absolutely obnoxious and disgusting bar man (who turned the music off to) shout at us to "get out!" for no apparent reason at all as soon as we arrived?! When asked why he just kept on his abusive tirade at us to shock and awe of the other customers sat around the bar - which he also then chucked out our friends who were also already in the pub?! Don't know if the guy was super drunk or on drugs or what but was a horrible experience and i wouldn't recommend this place at all. Shame as previously had a nice drink in here - although he was not there before. Not sure if he wants customers but that certainly is not the way to go about it! Popped in to watch the football the other night. I asked the guy behind the bar if they were showing it and he said they were but music would be on instead of the coms but that’s totally fine as it’s a mixed crowd in there and not your typical football pub. The beer was good and the tunes also - quite Balearic beats which was actually better than quite a poor game of football. If I didn’t have to get up at 6am for work I would have stayed for another beer but I was on my best behaviour!...
