My kitchen was out of use, due to having new flooring laid, so went to Blakewell's to get something for lunch. The lady kidly bagged up the pasties, took the payment and I took them home only to fund that our "Hot" pasties were very cold, not even slightly warm. I managed to get into the kitchen to pop them into the microwave to warm them through. After all this they were not nice pasties at all. Extremely thick, dry pastry, dry filling. I won't be back and would not recommend them to anyone. I'd like to know when they won any awards, and where, and feel they are using something to promote their business from many years ago. Easy to say "Award winning", but from when? They certainly shouldn't be winning any awards nowadays. They should have to justify...
Read moreI hate driving past here every morning, it sets my stomach off begging everyday! Its a real treat to buy pasties from here, the prices are fair & for £10 you can by a MASSIVE pasty that could feed a family of four easily. Its out of the way as they bake here & sell all over the area through shops etc so location is irrelevant. Lucky me its at the bottom of my neighbourhood!
