Popped in on off chance, shop didn’t look busy, there were three people stood to the side (appeared to me to be waiting for their orders) there’s a section clearly marked for ‘click n collect’ orders with a barrier defining the area…. so I went to the till by the door where a girl was serving a guy and he just left the till with his receipt ticket for the order and went to the waiting area…… she didn’t acknowledge me at all, so I assumed she was getting his order. Then a male member of staff came to the till…where I’m stood inches from him and he shouts… “who’s next please” … I waved ‘me’ and started to place my order and he totally blanked me and pointed to a guy across the shop, who was apparently next as he was the only person stood hovering around without a ticket! … I moved aside and apologised for not realising there was a ‘system’ for queuing…. The staff member said … “you have to join the queue over there to order” 🤷🏻♀️… which as I turned to do so a guy walked in the door (obviously knew the system) joined the queue pushing in front of me?! I then stood waiting being ignored further until eventually the guy behind the counter noticed I still hadn’t been served and notified the girl…. Why oh why…. could they just not have informed me, right from my arriving at the till…when I was clearly (to them) stood in the wrong place….why can they not greet customers with a smile, “hello, can I help you”…. Or … “if you are placing a new order please join the end of the queue”…. etc, etc … I’m local, but I’ve never been to Mr Chips takeaway before and signage does not indicate the queuing etiquette and I’m not a mind reader! To be embarrassed unnecessarily and treated like an unwelcome idiot rather than a valid paying customer is despicable, lame behaviour and the whole episode put me off my fish n chips! Read moreFantastic restaurant, Just point out that there is a takeaway side and a restaurant side to this premesis. As we arrived early evening for tea at the restaurany there was a rather animated gentleman shouting and abusing the staff in the takeaway section He was professionally dealt with by a gentleman who we later learned was the manager Lee. We were shown to a table and given a menu. As it was early evening and starting to get dark, the restaurant had a Bistro feel to it. We ordered our food and drinks and at this point there was another member of the public arguing with the staff in the takaway. Again dealt with by Lee. The food arrived and was fantastic. Fish & chips for me and Seafood Mix for my wife. They are also licensed and serve some very decent ales. Then I heard Lee the manager talking to one of the staff asking if there was anything wrong on the empty table behind us. I asked him about this conversation and it was the fact the cutlery was on the wrong side of the place setting. As we were talking to Lee he noticed something else that needed correcting and did so. My point here is that with someone with that much attention to detail in charge you can’t go wrong. Highly recommended and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. I phoned the shop explained to the manager (I beleve) I was told firmly I cooked that myself it wasn't white and if it was it was because we had just opened And the fat wasn't hot enough, OMG What an awnser to give a regular customer Terrible customer service skills,

The last time was I had it collected on time open it and it was cold I phoned and asked how Was told don't know it wasn't the shop seid The cab got to me 5mins after collection
Knowing they ofter put orders to be collected under counter sometimes I believe my order was made up to soon It happens. But again no apologies I seid your shop isn't very good at taking customer feed back I was simply told we are !
