Fireaway pizza Bideford — Restaurant in Torridge District

We had eagerly anticipated the opening of this new pizza shop since we saw it being fitted out. When found out the news it was open we drove 20 minutes into Bideford and ordered a 12" Napoli and a 12" Meathead and a Oreo Milkshake. Received our Pizza Boxes and the Oreo Milkshake after 10 minutes of waiting outside and then we made the 20 minute drive home, opened the boxes and was extremely disappointed to see one cold garlic bread and a cold margarita pizza. Really couldn't be bothered to make another hour round trip to correct the problem at 7pm amongst the pitch black sky. We tried the garlic bread and the margarita pizza and we were very unimpressed and we wished we went to dominoes. The milkshake was shockingly expensive but did taste nice. These guys really need to get a system in place to ensure that customers receive the correct pizza we were neither asked our name, or given an order number and seem to be purely relying on recognising people. Very disappointed they need to do way better as a new business in Bideford, or they will lose loads of potential...

Originally told 40mins for delivery but took two hours to get delivered and communications with the Bideford branch was bad and contradictory. Delivery charges are misleadIng. States it's £5 but they also add on 10% per item for delivery as well so in total our delivery charge for 3 pizzas was around £13. If they charge that much for delivery I expect service to be great. When I'd call for updates over the tedious two hour wait they were unacceptable. First they told us it had gone to the wrong address so we ran down the road to see if they had them...that was a lie. When we, finally, got an email to say it had been dispatched it was another lie. It was actually dispatched 30mins later. It was explained to me that the email they send is automated, not based on reality and they can't do anything to stop it from lying to customers. I've now fired away the menu on my fire, not going to put myself through that faff again. Pizza was ok, nothing special, but I was so hungry after waiting patiently for two hours that I'd have eaten the box...

Never again. Worst Calzone pizza ever. The wilted and dried out salad was right out of a British Rail sandwich (and would have barely filled a single desert spoon - so very generous!) What else was wrong? The pizza base was more like the pastry from a short crust Steak and Kidney pie, and there was so much partially melted cheese that it was akin to cutting through a mass of rubber rope when you tried slicing it with a knife. We then discovered that almost all of the ham and pepperoni filling was stone cold. Our order was also delayed because the staff processing it couldn't even understand our house numbered simple address, and had to ring us with a silly query about where we lived - and then could barely understand English. We will never order again, not even for all the gold in Fort Knox. Worst experience in...
