I try to go out once a month with a couple of mates just for 3-4 pints and a short if we're feeling rebellious and this has become my first choice. The pub is always clean, the toilets don't stink, the "locals" are nice and chatty, the staff are friendly and have a great rapport with everyone that comes in. Guinness always tastes great, some days the head is better than others (still talking about the Guinness), and whilst the prices a touch higher than most places in town it is worth every penny to keep the pub and clientele at a higher standard.

This has more of a pub feel than a restaurant. Decor is a little scruffy. So one star knocked off. Otherwise found friendly helpful staff and nice Thai food.

I've ordered the green curry, the red curry, the panang curry, the pad thai, and most of their appetizers. The appetizers were rather mediocure, and I can't really recommend any of them. Now that I got that out of the way, I must say how impressed I am with all of their main dishes. The curry is always thick and flavorful, with reasonable amounts of quality meat and vegtables. Everything was cooked as it should be, no tough meat or mushy veggies. The noodles were tasty as well. I can't say that this is the most authentic Thai food I've ever had, and I'm not sure what the standard is around here, but I would say that the've done an excellent job creating fresh and tasty curry from available ingrediants. Even compared to a saturated and diverse city like Chicago, this tiny place in this quiet little town beats out the "Thai" food commonly served at many pan-Asian restaurants one might find in a...

We were going to eat in here as I asked if it was dog friendly and they said not in the restaurant but you could eat in the bar when we got there we seen that you can sit in the bar on the chairs over to the left but not go through to the restaurant that was ok but the bar bit to the left we were not allowed in too only the right side God knows why.so we go to order food and she said there's nowhere to sit over there to the right but you can find somewhere to perch!!! weren't very impressed with this got the takeaway menus to look at and then the woman come across when we did go d some where to sit and said are you eating we said no she rips the menus away and put them back in the takeaway holder at the bar didn't find it very friendly wouldn't recommend...
