Having visited previously today’s visit was really disappointing. On arrival we did not receive a warm welcome, however we sat down and ordered with a really lovely waitress. We looked forward to receiving our coffees, oranges and breakfasts. After sitting there for 30 minutes and watching people who came in after us be served their drinks and food, I went to speak to the older lady who appeared in charge (the first lady we encountered). She was very abrupt and informed me there were 2 ordering systems (clearly only one till) and looking at the tickets I could see ours was still at the back, with others having been put in front of ours who had arrived later. No apology given or acknowledgment of my complaint- we promptly left and travelled to tea on the green in Westward Ho! and had a wonderful lunch - would definitely not recommend unless you are on of her regular customers who clearly...

Discovered this little gem of a very friendly cafe on a cold and blustery day. So we got a table.. and looked at the menu.. it was a traditional basic menu for the region. Our drinks were served quickly and with a smile, and then the food arrived. Fish finger sandwiches with real fish; proper bacon sarnie; and a truly lovely mushroom open toastie. Food served hot and fresh and with another smile... and it was tasty.

It is evident this place takes pride in what it does and in being all inclusive with decent baby chairs and good tables and chairs.

And its dog friendly... which is good because our baby likes to drop food for the dog..

And the final pleasantry, the bill, was...

The food that was served (breakfast) was lacking in amount on plate and quality was not to standard I'd expect to pay for price charged (£12.95) . 2average sausages,2bacon wasn't even smoked just thick slice of toast and some beans 2fried eggs.2nd breakfast had scrambled egg and for pleasure of that was £1.90 surcharge (even though its offered as a choice to fried eggs). I'd expect some mushrooms, black pudding and some tomatoes included for that price. The atmosphere and place is pleasant clean but overall priced more like tourist trap for what was served. Ps the coffee is 10 out 10 excellent. However overall disappointed felt overcharged for what was served. Much room for...

After a nice walk around Appledore we stopped in this lovely little cafe for a cream tea. The scones were really nice and fresh and plenty of cream and jam and a nice big pot of tea for my husband and myself to share. Lots of nice paintings on the walls in the cafe, which are for sale and are by local artists I believe, there was also a nice selection of teas and jams for sale. The cafe is dog friendly, overall a really nice place with very friendly staff.

Breakfast with the family. It ended up being a little more expensive than I thought. But it was tremendous all round. Not just another generic breakfast. The scrambled eggs had buttery character, the sausage was delicious and the toast was super thick sliced bread. Not just your supermarket bought rubbish. Also the cutlery was sturdy and good quality and the staff super friendly. A fixture in my top 10 U.K. breakfasts

Used to be called Rosie's but changed ownership in 2016/17. Good choices on menus. Morning menu has a varied choice available. Breakfast menu ends at around 11:30 am. Daytime menu is then until the end of the day. Also a varied choice of food available. Waiter service. Loyalty card scheme is operational and is handy if you visit here more frequently. Nice food and nice staff.
