A really enjoyable experience. We've visited this cafe a few times for coffees and cakes and it has always been first rate. Today we stopped for lunch and I chose the Beef and Guiness stew and my wife, the Pear, Stilton and Walnut salad. Both were excellent; well seasoned and thoughtfully presented. Each dish included a serving of delicious granary bread, though there was also a choice of white bread if preferred. Additionally the stew included a generous portion of creamy butter served in a separate ramekin at a perfect temperature and consistency. The service is friendly and efficient and attentive. Prices are very fair for the quality of food; there may well be less expensive places to eat in Appledore but you get what you pay for and The Coffee Cabin will...

Ordered 2 sandwiches to take away (at ÂŁ8.50 each, which I'd expect to pay eating in a pub with crisps on the side)). Politely asked for some salad in my coronation chicken sarnie, and the lady that served me looked at me like I'd asked for caviar or something , and told me it would be an extra ÂŁ1.00. I was flabbergasted. So she wants ÂŁ9.50 for a takeaway sandwich, which was nothing special (too much doorstop bread). Totally out of order that she wouldn't just give me some lettuce, and she was rude about it too. I definitely WON'T be going back. Especially when John's deli is just along the road and has a huge array of baguettes (all with free salad!!!) and lovely pastries at reasonable prices. Very...

Such a little gem of Appledore! We stopped in for a late afternoon bite and were so pleased we did!

The service was brilliant - absolutely top notch! The staff were so lovely and welcoming from the minute we arrived, throughout they were attentive and accommodating and took the time to look after us.

We had coffee and cake and it was delicious, really fresh and tasty and such a pleasant atmosphere!

Lots of different choices of food and drinks so plenty to choose from and a great view of the harbour from the huge glass windows.

We had a little toddler in tow and they even made him feel welcome and made a fuss over him - it was really lovely experience!

If I could give 10 stars I would!...

Decent breakfast. Like some other eateries in the village the prices are on there high side, which the midrange quality of the ingredients don’t justify in my view. From seeing other reviews, looks like prices have significantly increased recently, which I can only assume is down to rising costs for small local independent businesses. Coffee was good, and the mushrooms on toast, with an additional poached egg, were very tasty and perfectly seasoned and prepared. Service was attentive but I wouldn’t go as far as saying overly friendly or welcoming. I sat in a small upstairs area, which I was thankful for, as the entire downstairs was full with a local meet-up which would have felt awkward.

A very cozy coffee shop. We stayed in Appledore for a couple of weeks a went there often for coffee. We love their cappuccinos, flat whites and mochas. They have a good selection of plant-based milks for those who prefer it. I found the medium sized coffee HUGE so I used to opt for the small. I also think enjoying the coffee in tasted so much better than takeout. It’s definitely the atmosphere not the coffee itself! We didn’t try the food but I uploaded the menu. The staff is friendly, their guests are always nice and we overall loved this place! Thank you Coffee Cabin!

This isn't a café, it's a corner of paradise! If I could magically transport The Coffee Cabin in my rucksack and release it whenever and wherever I am, I'd be happier than a torn open bag of fresh coffee beans! Ooh, that blissful aroma!! Beautifully situated with a heavenly view across the water, The Coffee Cabin is a place of pilgrimage for anyone with a love of a chilled vibe, delicious home-cooked food, wonderfully welcoming staff and, of course, lip-smackingly delicious coffee! Now, where did I put my rucksack...?! :-)
