Cluck'A'rito — Restaurant in Trafford

After reading all the positive reviews earlier on in the year I thought I'd try this place out and review it.. I have been 4 times over the past few month so I can get a fair review

so I'll start with the positives

Burgers taste is nice and consistent

Unique spicy flavours and Algerian sauce

Great customer service

Negatives Chips are not consistent as they prepack them so pot luck if you get the fresh one or the one packed 5-10 mins ago

Food is expensive and doesn't warrant it as other competitors are same quality and priced fairly.

Only serve brioche bun for burger , there many people who don't like this butter and sweet bun so there losing customers , what's wrong with a floured or seeded bun option....!

Although I like the spicy sauce on chicken burger is can be a little sweet to some so having a more fiery option will help

Stupid burger boxes that cut into your burger ,seems like excessive amount of cardboard wastage

Drink selection is poor

Very long waiting times and never open on time

Shocking 40p to make burger spicy where others competitions its free , what's worse is i ordered a box meal and wanted the items spicy 1 gentleman charged 40p then the next time I visited I was charged 40p X 4 (£1.60) for each item in my box to be made spicy THATS CRAZY on top of and already expensive meals

Overall food taste is good but if they didn't try to extortionate customers and used regular packaging and not there wasteful super thick cardboard packaging and also used regular/ premium floured burger buns it would get 5 stars and even more customers can...

Disappointing Experience at Cluckarito, Manchester As a frequent visitor to Cluckarito in Manchester, I have always been impressed with their delicious offerings. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was far from satisfactory. I placed an order close to closing time and explicitly inquired about the freshness of the chicken. Despite being assured of receiving a fresh and hot meal, my burgers were disappointingly stone cold upon collection.

This was particularly frustrating as I arrived at the exact time I had indicated. The fact that the burgers were cold was a clear sign they weren't freshly prepared. When I approached the staff about this issue, the response was unsatisfactory. The staff member insisted the food had been in the warmer for only a brief period, showing a lack of acknowledgment for the evident problem.

What compounded my disappointment was their refusal to remedy the situation. When I suggested preparing a fresh burger as a solution, I was informed that it wasn't possible since the machines were already turned off. A refund or a freshly prepared meal would have been acceptable resolutions, but neither was offered.

This experience was a letdown, especially considering the high standard of food usually served at Cluckarito. Good customer service is about recognising and rectifying mistakes, and on this occasion, Cluckarito failed to do so. The incident has left me very disappointed and reconsidering...

2.5 stars. Thoroughly unimpressive average meal. Went for the spicy chicken burger with cheese meal (£6.40 without any sauces, with sauces £7.20) recommended by THFG on youtube. Lots of people hyping this place. NB there isn’t any seating at this restaurant. Chips were hot but had all spice “peri” seasoning on there which I did not ask for and didn’t enjoy. More importantly the burger was a thin piece of fried chicken breast dipped in a spicy sauce. The bun was really good quality and the salad fresh, however the chicken was warm not hot and the spicy sauce is reaaaallly too hot; to the point where you cant taste the chicken your tongue is just on fire! more heat than flavour in my opinion and I take my nandos hot and enjoy Philiadelphia’s, Kansas and other Spicy Burgers. Overall quite unimpressive, not the gourmet experience I expected. From the burger box packaging and interior decor you can tell this place is going for a more upmarket appeal to justify the upmarket price of around £7 for a chicken burger chips drink and sauce, but in reality I feel today’s meal was a run of the mill chicken burger experience and was worth no more than £4.50. May have just been an off day so would perhaps go back and try the normal non spicy burger next time. Good alternatives nearby include chunky chicken peri burger with cheese meal and chicken cottage spicy chicken burger meal...
